A friend is building a hide away cabin near me, on stilts.......... the soil there I am not sure of, but I get to play with it in clay

Danny, you been to see Shewmaker again? Looks like a regular length auger so obviously you haven't been reading here that you can't use those on the BX so I'll take it off your hands for half what you paid for it.:D

Well one thing for sure, "you're not in New Hampshire" ! 9" okay, but around here that is how deep we go before hitting a major rock!

Yes, and I already found out the regular PHD will work on the 2200, if I can't get your PHD cheap, maybe you can dig some extra holes and sell those to me at a real good price.:D

I've got a hole in my pocket you can have for free!:p

I was surprised I did not hit rocks, roots and lots of other things..........did hit one at 3' though, thought the thing was stuck..............

I rented one once and was scared at how fast the 12 inch auger dug holes in my soil. Took about 15 seconds to bore a 12 inch x 36 inch deep hole. Of course I have a foot of top soil over sand and now dig most of my holes with a hand post hole digger unless I have a bunch to dig.

thanks milkman, I could not remember what it was called. That was one dad used to lift riding mowers when he got them to work on.. He would be so glad I found a use for it.
