Very happy with my little tractor more powerful than I expected, the grapple is a lifesaver it works for clearing the thickest brush & saplings. The backhoe works excellent for digging up the stumps that I have. Very satisfied with the power of the little motor.

Nice, congrats on your new tractor. I contemplated getting a grapple too. But did get the third function with my snow blade, so that's good for later.
Have fun

Thanks for the replys I've got about 15hrs on it and am so pleased with it. Love the backhoe such a blast to use, and the grapple is a beast, used the tooth bar today also great piece of equipment. So far a great investment.
Thanks Maxl

I went from a 50hp gear tractor (M4900) to a L2501 HST recently. I’m still getting used to the HST whine and the treadle pedal. Both are getting more tolerable the more I use it. The little tractor is a dream for light fel Work and has surpassed my expectations. For brush hogging anything more than 6-8” grass it is a little disappointing. Just not enough horses to turn a 5’ cutter in thick stuff unless you creep through it. I’ve only got two little 6 acre plots so it’s no big deal. Hope you enjoy your new tractor.

I wasn't worried to much about the pto dout I'll use it, so hp wasn't a big issue. It is small but it does what I need it to do no problem. Hope it works out for you.

Ever since I've been using the grapple I've about took my grill and possible radiator out twice so I think anybody that has one should make a guard I made one out of some 1/8in expanded metal should help. Also don't know why they don't put the right side grab handle on ordered one much better always looking for something to hang on to on that side.

Nice job on that grill guard. Looks great

Real nice job on the grill guard. Looks better than factory parts. I had a 1” stick do a number on my fan blade and narrowly missed my radiator. It came up from the bottom however. I guess I’ll have to come up with a “bottom” guard.

BTW I also like the handle on the right side. I mow down next to a lake where it’s pretty steep. I’m always feeling for something to hang onto. If I flip into the lake it won’t save me from drowning but at least I’ll die happy with that handle in my hand.

My L3200 was about right for power to traction. The L2501 is only a hair less power. You start needing over 10hp per 1000lbs for PTO work, especially mowing. If you dont use the PTO or drive at roading speeds its suprising at times how little HP you need.
