Got an offer of $11,000 for stainless steel dump, telescopic hoist, hydraulic tank and salt spinner.
IMHO I think it's worth than that if the body's in good shape. It all depends how bad you want to get rid of it so I can't fault you one way or 'tother :).
Telescopic cylinder is $1K+, spinner probably close to the same, hydraulic tank $6-700. Body is dependant on shape.
Think they'd go for them removing the body, if you trust them not to hack anything.
What about the cab controls and valve bank, that included too? They'd be no good to you.

I gotta pay to remove. Probably a grand.

End up with $10,000 to put towards new 12’ dump, hoist & PTO

You think $11,000 is low?

Me and a buddy of mine who inspects & fixes my equipment will probably do it.

My big issue is salt/snow equipment that isn’t sold in the next 2-3 weeks isn’t going to sell until next fall. I want it off now so I can restore the frame, install new wheels and fix it up from the ground up.

Might want to jump on their offer while snow equipment is in demand

I do but I've been accused of thinking stuff I have is less valuable than I think it is. I have to try and remember also that I'm used to new prices having bought equipment like that the last 5-6 years I was working.

Very good point, a sure thing at $11K or possibility of maybe more heaven knows when.
If you do decide to strip it, remember....no pics or it didn't happen :)........Mike

I think you should jump on it. The used market is very subjective. Maybe you could get more, but the chances are higher that if you hang onto it, it will be sold as scrap someday. And $10 towards the new body is a good start.

Todays prices on steel and truck parts are absolutely insane because of rampant runaway inflation.

Yeah it’s pretty much now or never to sell plowing/salting equipment.

I will take progress pictures. Will remove body next week, then begin frame restoration. Also will be adding pintle plate, hitch, electric trailer brakes, tail lights and probably glad hands to rear. For some reason the trailer parking brake release valve is missing.

Don’t know for sure when new body will go on.

Need to find some new wheels as the ones on there look like crap.

For some reason the trailer park brake valve was there, but it’s gone now. No glad hands, either.
