Are most Kubota dealers devoted only to big farm customers? Is it because compact tractor customers are not likely repeat customers that they get so little consideration?

Well my dealer is a big one, even selling internationally, with 4 dealerships and seems to care about their little customers. I'm always greeted with a sincere smile by everyone from the salesman, parts men, and the manager and they remember my name. Maybe I'm just lucky or maybe it's just a more rural Kentucky thing. Maybe there's just to much money floating around Boca area for the small customer to be valued.

I called my dealer this morning and told them I was interested in the seat exchange program. He asked me what was wrong with my seat. He seemed to know nothing of the new seat thing.

Just got a call as I'm sitting here writing this. Dealer said there is a very big backorder for these seats as we all know by now. He said it will cost $25 along with my old seat. Thanks to this forum I found out about this seat thing. I believe I was the first person to ask the dealer about this seat exchange. I love it when the buyer knows more about the product that the seller. At least I know I will get my new seat! Some day.

Stopped by my dealer today and got the October delivery date. They have not seen ANY seats yet.
They said dealer meeting this month and #1 on agenda is letting info leak out on the internet without being able to back it up. He appreciated me being understanding as they get a lot who are not.

Guess who got a call from his dealer today - his seat is in...
Guess who is driving to Alexander NY first thing Saturday morning?!!?
Guess who is bush hogging Saturday afternoon - and smiling when done!

Slight change in plans from the above post - my dealer is AWESOME!

Anyhow - seat is installed... fender is fixed... all delivered to my place today...

WHAT A DIFFERENCE... My wife said that if it wasn't raining - she expected to see me sitting on the tractor, looking in the window at the TV tonight!

Did you man-up and leave the fender cracked with added brackets or have the whole thing replaced...

I was going to leave the fender as-was... and just put on the kit... but my dealer didn't want me to have a broken tractor... they came, picked her up, took her an hour away... put on the seat, fixed the fender with the new ones... looked her over, fixed a leaky front tire, torqued some other bolts and utterly had her back home to me by dinner - SAME DAY!

Service with a smile - and when they dropped her off - he also delivered me an oil filter... and said - "I'll send you the bill for all this, I haven't figured it out yet"... and I mean that in the best possible way - I know what it's gonna cost for the transport - which is VERY fair... but their entire operation is based on customer satisfaction...

So - short answer MOPAULY - new fenders, new seat... what a difference on BOTH counts.

And at no profit to the dealer - here's where they win... as he was leaving, my wife turned to me and said - "Too bad we didn't have to go Saturday, you could have tried out a bigger tractor. They are so nice, it makes me want to have you go buy a bigger tractor from them"...
