Just wanted to introduce myself. Names Daniel but it's been Dano since 1969 when I came back from Nam
and the only people that would give me a job was the Metro Police Dept in Washington DC. Been in Law
Enforcement ever since. BookemDano just naturally came to be. Been married to the same woman almost
45 years now. Very unusual in a cops world. One child, she's 30 and been married 10 years. I started off putting
her thru college, she got married and dropped out and I ended up putting her husband thru college. Got near as
much invested in that boy as she does.;) But I have to admit, he's a good kid. Gave him my old Hoyt Pro-Force compound
bow yesterday. He'd never shot a bow in his life (city kid) but he took to it like a duck to water. Had
to drag him away from the target range I have set up. He'd have shot all night long.

Going to retire next year. Own 28 acres that joins several hundred thousand acres of wildlife refuge in
East TN. 90% is woods that I want to turn into at least ten 1/2 acre food plots to attract and hold more
deer and turkeys on my property.

Bought a Kubota L3800 w FEL, Box Scraper, Disk & Rotary Cutter last week. Accepted delivery yesterday
and put 3.3 hours on it grading my driveway, my brothers, his 2 daughters and my dad's driveways.
Purchaced the HST model, 4-wheel drive. Never drove a tractor in my life. Smelled a lot of mule farts
as a youngster skidding logs and paperwood, plowing, cutting hay and pulling the hay wagon but I was
grown and gone before dad ever got a tractor for the farm.
That's about it. Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm sure I'll have a number of questions to ask.

Welcome to the forum, lots of former, retired and some active LEO's on TBN. I retired in 2007 and really recommend it; gets better all the time. It looks like you are well equipped with a good tractor and all the right implements; enjoy.

Howdy from Rochester, MN! Looks like you have really nice rig there and you already are following the proper rules by posting pictures. I've learned so much in following these forums for the last year. Been a lot of fun, too. Welcome aboard!

Sounds like your life has been quite a success. Keep up the good work. Lots of members here are newbies with some experience and some members have more tractor talent than the rest of us put together. Of course this is a good place to use the phrase.....IMHO.

You are exactly right, on both counts. Had to put the ROPS down to get it in the garage and forgot to put them back up.
Didn't have that problem with a mule.
