Tact, yes loosen the yoke clamp and remove the keeper pin.
Then push the u-joint/yoke towards the front of the vehicle to preload the plastic/silicone cushion and tighten the clamp. I would start with very little pressure and then more if the shaft continues to rattle. You only want to use as much preload as nessesary to stop the rattle. Using too much pressure will exert axial loads on the middle carrier bearing and the tranny output shaft and reduce the amount of compression movement the shaft assembly will absorb if things get tweaked.
Did you find out if there was going to be other clamp-on style yokes for the mid and front u-joints?
