That's the same as the one I received.

Thanks for posting the photos. I haven't had a chance to get the camera and set everything up.

I gotta get me one of those! ...even if I have to spend $27. Do you think this little thread might have been partially responsible for the fix? Maybe I'll have to write NH a thank you letter... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

nah...must have lost my head there for a minute. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Any word from NH about the joystick? Are the new ones still similar?
Sorry Jim, I couldn't resist /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

RaT, the problem has been solved (or at least I think so). Markie posted pictures of the new joystick support shaft and it looks good (attached - thanks, Mark). I don't have one yet, but I'm sure I will before long. I'm hoping this thread stays alive so when others have the problem, they will have a resource to get find out the background and that there is a solution at their New Holland dealer. There are probably many dealers who don't know about this, so it will be up to the tractor owner to tell them about the new joystick.

I don't have the new joystick yet. My hose clamps are still working perfectly, and I'll surely get the new model before much longer. I know Markie has the new one and maybe he will see this and give you some feedback. In the true spirit of the optomist, I hope this thread dies because the problem goes away. It lives on only as a reminder that not everything newer is necessarily better and just because something is called "deluxe" doesn't make it so. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Just took my TC35D over to the dealer last night for a service call this week. Just talked with service man Allan, and he said that they have a TSB for this joystick problem. They take some round stock and weld it and redrill the holes. He said he'd show me when I come to pick it up. I'll take my camera.

Just for fun, here are the other item on my list for them...
235hrs

1. 2wd/4wd is Extremely difficult, almost impossible.
2. Brake's don't disengage easily
3. Cut black wire under left side deck
4. Replace broken 3ph bracket, left side
5. No Joy Joystick
6. Filters/Fluids and grease

About 10 hours of loader use with the new style and no complaints. The old one used to actually "creak" up until it snapped. New style is very solid.

Guys,
I have a 40D with a Bush Hog Loader. I was thinking about modifying the joystick to have the range selector.
Is this a worthwhile task?
Has anyone else done a similar thing?
Any idea on the cost of the parts?

Thanks in advance
