No Spill Diesel Can that works?

Even the EZ pour has "poor" puny gaskets that leak and distort after awhile. All this new stuff is madding compared to the old metal 1-5 gallon fuel cans. Fortunately I'm old enough to have several of the old cans. At least......that's my experience....but "Hey", I'll be out-a-here in a few more years.

I use a liquid transfer pump to fill my tractor.

Who is inheriting the old fuel cans? inquiring minds want to know. Pretty sorry world, when people are waiting around to inherent your gas cans isn't it?.

I have four military jerry cans and a flex metal spout that screws on. Works like a champ. I've looked at the new Federally designed jugs - what a bloody nightmare. Even Rube Goldberg wouldn't accept credit for that design.

You might pick up jerry cans at the local Army/Navy surplus store.

No need to make anything, just get some of these vents. Drill 1/2" hole and press it in, done.

I bought a sack full of these vents for my cans. Only problem is that they do dry out and break off after a year or two. Cheap enough to replace, but they don't last forever.
Also, on my cans with the No-Spill (Always Spill) feature, I took those apart and gutted the insides for full flow. At the price of the replacement 'full flow spouts', they're about half the price of a new can. Too pricey for me for what they are.

Don't be like one of my neighbors though... While filling from a 5 gallon can he wasn't satisfied with the flow rate. So - he just punched a hole right there in the bottom with an awl. And yes, it did 'quick fill' - ONE time

I agree with msb1766, use the electric pump. So much easier than holding up the 5 gallon can. Shop DuraHeat Kerosene Heater Siphon Pump at Lowes.com

Nice and controlled.

I sit the 5 gallon can on the floorboard, put my Parker Racor filter funnel in the tractor, and turn on the pump and watch the fuel flow in.

I have no issues with regular Ol safety cans.

Yeah see that screwed up looking nozzle on it? They've rendered those useless now too.

This is my solution. Set your fuel can on hood of
your tractor and siphon the fuel out.
Takes about 5 minutes for 5 gallons.
