Yeah, there's really no way to backfeed into a properly connected generator.

My power company buddies love to back feed into generators. If they hear them they do what they can to blow them.

Line crews can power the lines up. Line crews can short the lines together and to ground. These are all fair game for a line crew and all without any generator owner's permission. Does anyone know of anything else the line crew can do that could damage an improperly connected generator? I don't.

Correct. The original quote is poorly defined.

Update: As i post this i am running My Gc2610 with My Northstar 13kw pto gen. It is is purring along. This gen is outstanding. It starts my 5 ton a/c . It draws 57 amps at startup. 20 amps while running. I am amazed the gen handles the start up load. . The tractor hold the frequency quite well. It seems to never drop below 59.5 hz. Very impressed with the setup. I am feeding my panel with 6/3 romex and yes I am using a generator interlock kit for safety.

i'm not surprised it starts it. my northern ptogen starts my large ac compressor as well... as long as supply voltage doesn't drop below about 210 or so she picks up..
