Exactly. It was an old plum orchard and was being removed so they could plant new plum trees. At least that was what I could determine from the comments I translated with Google translate.

In Florida????? or even GA? I thought it was too hot for either apples or grapes.

GA...Wine has gotten very big around here...apples are still big but the wine makers are always buying up the decrepit orchards...

"So now when I see a large pot hole I advise them so that I can get my suspension repaired by them.
Recently I observed them with a pick up and a 3 man crew shoveling bagged asphalt into our numerous pot holes, (naturally that was 2 vehicles, one worker and 3 flag men.)"

Yup, that's funny , and I'll be  about that tomorrow too, why am I now thinking of a French jokes..

I've had lots of Georgian wine and champagne but all from the Republic of Georgia.

I thought you guys just grew peaches and pecans. You do those so well, why mess with fruit that doesn't typically grow in humid southern heat??

It's different here...(extreme N.E. GA...tri-state)...at the elevation I'm at it's too cold for peaches...the late frosts kill the blossoms more often than not...but we get a lot of both peaches and apples from across the river in S.C...Although apples do fairly good right here...I like the 'Arkansas Black' variety the best for local apples...'Honey Crisp' if I buy at the grocery...

Currently enjoying some Plant City (FL) strawberries...!

I think I saw somewhere that there is a company that makes heavier duty tree pullers with a hydraulic assist foot.

There have also been some simple V wedge lift/tree puller devices powered directly by the 3PT made by folks here on TBN. Those devices seem to work pretty well for smaller saplings but not for trees as big as the old plum trees seen in the Serbian video.
