With my stereo installed I was able to verify that the stereo functions vis a vis fade work as I'd mapped above.
mudplugger, on your loader I'd be inclined to check with your dealer. Maybe the pressure settings aren't right. I've been doing a fair amount of bucket work scooping/loading material (rock/sand) and I KNOW that I've got a LOT of weight and the loader's curl and dump (as well as loader lift/drop) works fine. Dump trailer is about 12k lbs and I'm getting four to five buckets in it and when I go to dump that trailer it strains pretty good (it's a top of the line trailer). BUT, pallet forks tend to extend weight out farther, so perhaps it's all due to that? (my brain will start hurting if I try and calculate the forces; I could do it, but I'm getting older and I'm trying to conserve brain cells :laughing![]()
Probably a new topic here really, but I'm pretty sure it's a function of having the load hung out so far in front of the front axle and the "effective weight" of it at the FEL pivot is therefore multiplied and at, or just above the limit.
Not only that, but without at least 600kg on the back of the tractor, I end up lifting the back wheels... The size of the load coupled with the distance on a big pallet - is just too heavy, and hung out too far in front to be safe..
So I searched t'interweb as we call it here - and found a 3 point hitch forklift in Germany - not much wear, and at the right price... palletised shipping did the rest and so now I have a solution..
This solves the problem, with the weight at the back of the tractor and close to the rear wheels.
Greater lift capacity, greater height and with "rear wheel steer" - far easier to get pallets into tight spots.. :
