Ok, after some discussion last night and this am, a couple of us have decided to start a 'daisy-chain' letter for Rob_in_NY . As most of you know from the other thread he has been seriously injured and will be laid up a couple months at least.
Sandman2234 has his mailing address, but was asked to not make it public so the entire internet will know it.
Here's what we think will reasonably work well:
Everyone who wants to get in on the 'card ring' needs to make a post here.
Someone in each time zone needs to start the ring by purchasing a card, signing it, and then pm'in a member from this thread that is in their time zone to get their mail address.. then mail that card to them. That person signs, and then does the same.. IE.. pms the next member in that time zone for their address and then mails it out.. and so on.... The last person in that 'chain' can then contact sandman for further instructions, etc.
Sandman said that anyone wanting to send something directly to Robert can PM him and he will release the address that way.
I'm starting the chain for EST, and will be sending the card to sandman today.
If you want in on this chain ( whatever time zone you are in ), then make a post here. once sandman gets my card, he'll be forwarding it to another person in our time zone.
Once you PM the person to get their address, and then drop the card int he mail, remember to pm them again and let them know it is coming nad what return address to look for so that it is not overlooked as junk mail. etc.
