Rest in Peace
Charlie, we do change as we get older. 40 years ago, I drank quite a bit of Budweiser, and occasionally Scotch and water; never did like bourbon, and very seldom drank any wine.
And now . . . I have a bottle of Crown Royal; think it's pretty good in a Coke Zero and I think I've already had one this year. And I keep a bottle of a single malt scotch for scotch and water. I had one just a couple of days ago for the second or third time this year. Last August I bought a case of Shiner Bock. That's really good on a hot day after mowing the yard. I think I drank two of'em. The rest of that case is still in the shop refrigerator. But most days, not every day, but most days, I do enjoy a glass of Sangria.
The biggest problem with my drinking is that when I drink any of those, I like to snack along with it; peanuts, cheese, chips & dip, etc. And it's hard to lose my excess weight doing that.
