You can have a ventless heater and NOT have a moisture problem. Ventilation is the answer. Without it even a vented heater will cause moisture problems. When you run heaters in greenhouses, you learn about moisture problems real fast. Attached is a cutout from a greenhouse heater manual, but it would apply anywhere. The instructions further call for a small vent high in the room opposite the heater. Yes, you get a small amount of cold air but it isn't enough to notice and you'll have clean dry air in the room.

Twinkle toes,
After calling my heating and air cond. he's coming out and just putting in a high eff. furnace and central air package for $2100 installed. I've done too much work this summer myself. I'm about exhausted. To just have the heat done was only $950 installed with a regular high eff. furnace. Can't beat that when you're looking at almost a $1000 for one of the vented wall heaters. It was another $1150 for the central air unit but if you figure it costs $400 for a good window air cond. and then you have to hassle with taking it in and out it's worth it.
