"It's dry enough around here to lose a calf in the cracks. Here is a couple pictures I took last week in my front yard. "

Hey! I think you better not park the Jetta too close. ;)

OOPS! I need advice.

I thought this might happen.

The concrete was thick and the rocks were big and we couldn't work fast enough. Sooo.... What is the best way to repair/fill out the corner???

Thanks

there's a concrete repair stuff you can get for your caulk gun that works fairly well -- put it on and smooth it with a trowel --- be sure to wet the surface first --

Hi Don,

Sack concrete has real small stones and should fill out the corner.

Type N morter works also. No rock, but since this is cosmetic and not structural, it really doesn't matter.

Option three is what I'd do. Push a little dirt up against it and forget about it.

I bought a small, maybe 5 lb size sack of concrete mix in a plastic bag at HD a couple years ago for a coffee can size project I was doing. Very small size rocks and smoothed out very easy. Would probably do just what you want.

Stucco mix works very well also, we rub all our pads with the Stucco base mix after we have stripped the form. It adheres to the concrete much better.

Why do you put Stuco on cement pads?

We use it to fill in imperfections and gives a nice finish to exposed areas that are seen.

You can use mortar mix, emergency concrete repair mix, etc if the appearance bothers you.

But you don't need to worry about it for the building's strength or keeping out of insects etc.

Look at the picture and I think you'll understand why.

Thanks for the suggestions! I really like the stucco suggestion but had trouble finding it at the first supply store so I bought a anchoring cement product. It was very thin for the first 5 minutes and then in 20 seconds got rock hard - not enough time to work.

So today I went to The closest Home Depot but they also did not have the stucco. They did have concrete repair so I will try it tomorrow.

The last several days I have been getting things ready to quickly put up a temporary fence around the house and carport (the last temporary fence was there for 10 years). The cattle are getting hungry and want to move up the hill.

I had to move the gravel piles to the carport, cattle guard, and the on road.

We also installed the cattle guard that Mike brought by. Below are a few pictures:
