Haha Chris no worries, i'm not looking at awards, i just want to clean up this ground.
This is what it looked like 2 months ago:
in total i have taken out something like 1500 small trees...
I tried taking the roots out with this custom-made back hoe i have:
But it just does not have enough power/weight to do the job. I have sharpened my plough, and this way it turns out to be very efficient. It's just a lot of work...

This is what I did to protect myself in the event of a tip over near a tree, like you experienced.
Thought being: if the tip over occurred close to a tree that could crush me in the seat, the frame I built would hit the tree and stop the tractor from laying on its side.
Did once put the tractor on its side, but no trees around ( that is another story...)

Edit: just noticed your tractor does not have a ROPS. SCARY...

Hi Bill, pretty impressive construction you have. My problem would be that it would be adding a lot of top-weight, which is exactly what i am trying to avoid...
And i know i don't have (and need) a ROPS. Trust me, half the time i spent on the tractor i am actually scared, after knowing it can side easy. For the little iseki they are hard to find, very expensive, and (again) adding a lot of weight above the wheels. Hopefully in two weeks i can do a two hour drive to a place where there are a lot of these mini tractors. Just to see what they have.
