Over three weeks ago I placed an order with Everything Attachments for a lawn plugger/aerator and at that time was told it would be up to two weeks to build and ship it. I said I understood that and that I could therefore expect it at my door around the end of May. The answer was yes. They charged my credit card at that time I just learned ( my credit card bill came today) Normally businesses do not charge cards until items are ready for shipping.

That is not the problem. The issue becomes, I called last week to check on the status and was told it was just about finished and would ship in a day or two. I was OK with that. Today I called fully expecting to hear that it had been shipped and should be here this week WRONG! Kevin answered the phone and said he did not think it had even been built and would be at least several weeks in production. I told him if that were true I would not get it until late June well past the time to aerate my lawn AND that they had my money for some three weeks already. He said he would talk to Rick and get right back to me. I'm waiting and I sincerely hope that I can then post a amendment to this post that all is well and he was mistaken.

I hope I am wrong but right now my I am not happy with their service and would thus be reluctant to order from them or recommend them. Again i hope I am wrong, but I am now left with either canceling the order and starting the process over with another company or not aerating my lawn this year if the timing I was given today is correct. Anyone else have problems with them

Well, I have now talked to Travis, a very nice young man, and his comments that they were waiting on materials and 'should" have it completed and shipped by the end of the week, hopefully but he could not confirm as to how far along in the production cycle it was etc. I'm sure this is not their normal way of doing business and in fact it may be caused by a very good sales month but that does not make it right to lead the customer on with a carrot to appease him. I'm afraid I will have to cancel the order and go elsewhere as I'm running out of time ( ground is drying fast) to aerate my property this year. Anyone, know an alternate source for an aerator. I prefer one that attaches to the three point and would like 3 feet wide for ease of maneuvering around the yard.

This post is not intended to shed a bad light on Everything Attachments as they generally appear to be a good company. Mistakes happen and it appears that is the case with me but it has caused me problems and that is an issue they need to correct and insure does not happen to other good customers. I am still hopeful the phone will ring shortly and I can add a happy ending.

Not a happy ending yet, but I just received a telephone call from Ted the owner of Everything Attachments. First, I appreciate him taking the time to call and second for him to explain what transpired and what he is doing to "make it right". As I said, we all make mistakes and it is the gentleman that owns up to it and takes the corrective action. He told me that my aerator will ship on Thursday and I will have it the middle of next week. Looking forward to taking pictures then and posting with a big thank you that I will partially reserve at this time. If all goes as he laid out he has won me as a repeat customer, after all there are always more "toys" our tractor needs.

I would expect a tracking number by end of day Thursday regardless. if not, I would cancel the order Friday.

What was the problem at ETA?

Hope this works out for you and you can get your lawn aerated in time. I tend to support American companies as much as possible and ETA and Ted are hiring people here at home. That is important to me.

I would like to patronize them as I've never heard anything bad about them...But I've always been able to find quality products for less money..

I just received an aerator today from a local ag store which was a king kutter brand. it took about 5 weeks to deliver but they were very upfront with me and said they had none in stock at kk and it had to be built due to demand and time of year for that particular piece of equipment. it seems they should at least been a little more upfront about delivery time and maybe only charged a deposit until it was shipped and then full payment.

I too am interested in hearing what the problems were, and what he did for you that made you change your outlook of EA.

As you said, people make mistakes, its what they do to make it right that counts.

So after reading the first few post, and all the negative about EA, perhaps they can use a boost of positive. You describe all the negatives issues you have experienced, so clue us in on the positive.

I ordered the little angle iron disc harrow at roughly the same time. I also was advised it would be a couple of weeks before it would be ready to ship, due to demand and time of year. After a week and a half or so I called again to check status, and was advised it was on the original schedule.

And it was. Received the shipping notice, tracked via Yellow, and it arrived to the day. So count this as a positive. I'm sure the OP had a slightly different experience but it seems they're responding to his concern. Note, it beat local pricing slightly, even with the shipping added on. There aren't many stock choices around here and I cannot fault their service.

I've been in the metal fabrication business and schedules can sometimes be the toughest part to manage. EA is a small business and they depend on a number of suppliers for raw and processed materials. Add to that a busy time of year and problems can happen. When responding to a late delivery it is oh so easy to tell the customer what you hope will happen but sometimes doesn't. It feels honest because you honestly hope to get it out but when it doesn't happen you have egg on your face. Been there...done that. You have to run lean and mean to hope to make a profit which eliminates having everything in stock, ready to ship.

I have purchased three items from Everything Attachments, each order was shipped on schedule and the tools were top quality.

First, for those that asked, I will not go into the details on the problem I had as I feel that is private. I will tell all that Ted kept his promise and yesterday I got a tracking number that my aerator is on its way and will be her Tuesday. GREAT> Now i will keep my word and this afternoon order something else I need from them. At my age and having worked all my life , I know mistakes can happen and good people acknowledge them and work to correct the issues. Ted, in my book is one of those good people.

In response to "Recoveryhill", Inventory control of raw materials is a never ending problem and sometimes shortages occur, especially when business is good. Again Ted was up front with me on this and has thus earned my repeat business.

Good to hear, and it seems as if this what happens with EA if there is a problem (at least from reading these forums)...they make things right. Always nice to hear.

I've read a couple of EA mistake threads and it seams like they try their best to make things right. I don't know if I would want to be in the attachment business. You have to balance your slow time building what you think you can sell with how much room you have to store the items before they sell and how much money you can tie up waiting until spring comes. Then spring hits and everything you have starts flying off the shelf. On top of that you're best guess as to what will sell the least so you built less of them was wrong and you quickly sell all your stock. Now you have your workers building as much as they can as quick as they can to fill orders. Not saying this is what happened and having too much work is better than not enough but things do happen.

My thoughts exactly.

I know nothing about the company mentioned but in general any company should not charge your credit card until the item ships. Maybe if agreed to in advance. I'm too cautious but if I had a couple unexplained and unexpected shipment delays I would cancel the order and payment and just move on in life.

I recently placed an order for a wicked grapple and a 3rd function kit. While they did charge my CC right away, they also shipped the 3rd function kit right away and informed me that the buckets are built to order and would be 2 weeks. It has not been 2 weeks yet. I already have the kit installed and it was very easy and well thought out. Hoses were the right length and all connectors were correct for my tractor. EASY! Not cheap but painless which is what I was after this time. I found the need to speak with Rick on several occasions during the process and he was always both reachable and knowledgeable. Could I have found a cheaper solution???? Yes, but so far, I am happy. I will update this happiness when I get a bucket!

I've had good luck with EA in the past; I'm interested to know which aerator you purchased?

My Wicked Grapple took longer than was expected by both me and EA. They have had such a heavy order load
they were busy trying to keep up and for me, they ran out of actuators before their reorder showed up. Even
Manufacturers can have problems with their supply line. My grapple was built waiting on the actuators. Once
notified that it was shipped, I had it the next day. Can't argue about that. I am trying to figure what to
order from them next.:D

I am really surprised EA hasn't chimed in yet, they seem to do that every time a thread like this pops up.
