ordered the B7510

I had a B7500, fel, back hoe, stolen. Had 54 hours on it. My home owners (State Farm) paid it for it. It was a great outfit. I am going to replace it with B7800, fel and bh. Dealer wants $20,853. How does the price seem?

Hi heehaw (and whoever else can help). I'm new to the forum, and new to tractors. I'll be buying one in 2 or 3 months, and was wondering why you went with the B7510 (what size yard, what work are you needing it for, etc.). My wife and I looked at the local Kubota dealer and that's the tractor that most appealed to our needs i think. Any help would greatly be appreciated before we go spend $20K on something that's overkill. Jeff.

JEFF: WELCOME TO THE FORUM! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif can't tell u if that tractor would be OVERKILL, need some idea of your needs and uses and acreage.

Hi Frank. I'm on 3.5 acres(not flat) that all needs to be mowed, and maintained (leaves, sticks, dirt work, etc.). Some of the land is pretty low and I'll be doing a lot of dirt work over the next couple of years, lots of big oak trees with exposed roots that need mowing around or over. BTW what would you suggest for this type and amount of mowing? Belly or Pull behind or bush hog? I want FEL, mower, box blade, really could use a BH, but the price is way too much. Considered the BX23, but I'm afraid that it will be on the verge of not being enough machine. Also hydrostatic or not? Heard good and bad things. See. Told you I was new. Thanks a lot. Jeff

I am about to order the B7510 with 302FEL 60inMMM and possibly a box blade... What is a good price? should I ask for hooks to be welded to the fel?
I was also offered a JD4110 with FEL with 170 hrs on it for 11600....is that good?

Hi jkm. Monday (1/17) I priced a B7510 w/ FEL and it was $11,600. So I would have to say not a good deal on the JD. That was with the LA272 loader, but the salesman said a 302 would be about $250 more. Also the finish mower was a Lands Pride, and it was $1300. So the total quote I'm looking at right now is $13,225 with LA 272 loader, box blade and 60" pull behind Lands Pride finish mower. I'm sure a MMM is a little more, but hope this helps. Oh and the hooks he told me to buy them, bring them in and they would weld them on. Jeff.

Yes

Depends on how that 170 hours was spent, but I would say it's a good deal. The JD4110 is a feature rich machine. New, a good price fot the 4110 with FEL would be above 15,000 in most areas of the country.

I think I might go ahead and buy the 7510. Are hooks a great idea? What about wear bars on the bucket of the FEL? Should I wait until it gets worn a bit?
What type of oil do you use to change the motor oil and hydrostats?
I noticed that JD has an auto priming feature on the 4110...what do you do if you run out of fuel on the Kubotas? Just refill or is there a priming process?
