The L-39 is one industrial strength tractor for sure and I believe that you will enjoy it as a true workhorse.

Our L-39 is in the shop this week getting the three rear remotes installed as well as the front remote to operate a hydraulic grapple.

I just finished 7.5 Hrs on the L39 debrushing 2 1/2 acres of sage brush. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif WOW IS ALL I CAN SAY! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I called the dealer to give him the good news and another big thanks. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

During our conversation the dealer told me he was not surprised I was satisfied with the L39's performance. He said Kubota introduced the L39 platform to the dealers last year during the dealer meeting. At that time Kubota touted the L39 as "One H**l of a tough tractor," basically aimed at the rental and construction market.

The dealer said I am the first customer to give them direct feedback on how they liked their L39.

If anyone reading this forum is looking for a "Compact version of the John Deere 210 LE loader," with Kubota quality, the L39 should be at the top of their list of tractors to research! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It's quite good to hear your satisfied, it's really great. Skypup and Jim Morrisey certainly have considerable praise for the L39. I have only looked at one and it is nice.

When you look at one check out how much shorter they are than the L4330 or the L5020. The turned down hood makes it even shorter looking. It reminds me of some kind of bug on steroids with big arms. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Rat I have a question for you or anyone who knows. I found two of the three hydraulic pumps mounted on the right side of the transmission about mid point on the tractor, each with it's own LARGE spin on filter. Now where is the third pump?? I checked on the sides of the engine for a hydraulic pump, with negative results. It's not mounted at the front of the tractor either. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

My guess would be that like most all the other Kubotas, the number 1 and 2 pumps are contained in the same body. One pump is typically exclusively for power steering. The largest GPM pump for loader and hoe and in the case of the L48, the third pump exclusively for the hoe swing circuit.

Yes, but I still wonder where that third pump is located??

After running this thing for a few days now I have a question. How are you supposed to use the rear axle locker when the foot pedal for it is on the right side? It's hard to press on the accelerator pedal and the lock up pedal at the same time. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Unless you wear a size 15 shoe!

It's impracticle to use your left foor to press on the pedal. I guess you could use the hand throttle to free up your right foot, but that would be a pain in the a** and would not work very well.

I've got 21 hours on it now and I am still amazed at how well this tractor performs. For my application I wish the instrument cluster was in the front dash, not on the fender. Also it would be nice if Kubota used metal instead of plastic for the instrument panel unit cover instead of plastic. The plastic parts on my B7800 are already showing UV dullness after two years. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Also, this tractor gets a lot better fuel economy than the L4330.
