That's what I thought, but there is no pump there. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The front of the crankshaft has a splined shaft protruding forward from the drive belt pulley about three inches, but it's not connected to anything.

Could it be there is one pump that somehow splits off the hydraulic flow to loader/hoe and boom swing while the other is simply for power steering? The power steering pump does move 6.2 gpm, a sizeable amount. I have found one thing about Kubotas that seems to always work exceptionally well and that is the power steering.

I doubt it. If Kubota says three pumps, I'm sure there are three pumps. Where the third one is mounted is anybody's quess. One of these days I will invest in a Kubota repair manual for it. That should answer my question.

Okay. I am going to attempt to post a picture of my new L39. I have never been able to post a picture here before, so if it does not work, I will need someone to walk me through the process.

Okay that did not work. I need help. Walk me through the process step by step. My tractor pictures are in the file "My pictures" and are in Jpeg format. Under "Instant markup" I tried clicking on the "Image" button and it asked for a URL. What is that?

To attach a picture you need to click the box below the "Post" window that says "I want to preview my post and/or attach a file ". When you click on "continue" the new page will have a line that says "You may attach a file if you like (no bigger than 100000 bytes please).". Click on the Browse button to the right. Find your picture file on your computer. When you find the file double click on it. This will put the file address in the box next to the "Browse" button. File must be smaller than 100K.
Click on "Post This Message!". In a few second you should see your attachment of the picture at top of your post in the forum.
Using the Image icon will put a image in a post. It must be stored on a server. Not your computer. It is frowned on to post images within a post. It takes much longer for our fellow TBNers that are on dial up to load these pages.

My pic says 980 KB. Is that too much to post, as I tried your method and after about five min I get a page that says this page cannot be found??????????

The diff lock is generally used with the hand throttle or at idle in really low gears.

Ag tractors almost always have it on the same side as the throttle pedal so you can feather the clutch.

That is much to big. You need to get the size down both in terms of dpi and the screen pixels. I would suggest about 400X600 and the dpi at no more then 75 dpi. You need a prgram to do this. I use Photoshop Elements but there are plenty of others to help you get the size down.

Sounds way too complicated. Looks like I won't be posting any pics. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
