You can do it...and as others indicated, just be prepared to take a lot of time. And...you're going to need a nice chunk of weight on the BACK of the tractor in order to move full buckets of dirt safely. You can use a box blade for that or a ballast box. (I actually use my BX22's backhoe for that these days) Don't attempt this job with out that weight...and wear your seatbelt.

If you don't rush it , Your machine will do fine . Don't try to grab the biggest load you can get in the bucket,and take it fairly easy in transpost . As you said .. it's for filling an area for entertaining . You aren't filling a burst dyke . Enjoy the whole process ! It's kind of what makes owning a tractor nice . ... You don't have to sweat very hard to enjoy your work . John

I moved 80,000 lbs of #2B river rock in 12 hours. THe BX can't be overworked. It will do what it will do. Check your tire presures, put the box blade on and go at it. When you take a break, back it down to high idle (just enough to get rid of the shakes) and pop the hood for cooling. That will be a great workout for the hydraulics right before you 50 (or 60, it's not that critical) hour service.

The project will take a few hours but you will learn the FEL operation and feel very comfortable driving the unit.
Take your time, go slow, and most of all ....enjoy!
