Another very cool morning. 47F and no smoke. Definitely a "better feeling" with the RH @ 48%.

About the same here, 38F and no smoke at 6am. Supposed to back to HOT again tomorrow.

I don't have AC here. I have two large fans. Open a window on each end of the house and let them rip. Last week I was fighting just to keep the house cool. The night temps just barely got low enough to drag the inside down cool enough.

Yesterday and today - I had to shut the fans down early. It's 44F outside @ 5:45 - - inside the house ...... 63F.

At these temperatures, even I have a jacket on. It's hard to believe but, middle of the summer, our night time temps are only twelve degrees above FREEZING.

This is just crazy.

For sure. I even kicked he furnace on while I was doing breakfast. 11:30 here now and 76F

No rain for 6 weeks and highs in the upper 90s for the next 5 days.

I have a seasonal pond that usually has water in it until mid late August . . . it's been empty since the end of May . . . thank God the other pond is spring feed.

I just checked. We will be in the low to mid 90's for the next ten days.

The upsetting thing - the ten day forecast shows elevated night time temperatures also.

Seems like every year the same thing, California/western forest fires, heat waves, mud slides. It’s hurricanes in Florida, Louisiana. Droughts in the Midwest here and there-the Mississippi floods….
The Mid Atlantic has very little of the weather anomalies. Sure, we get partial strength hurricanes (Agnes, Floyd, Sandy) late summer and fall, and an occasional drought or extended period of rain, but my area rarely experiences any type of weather craziness.
Very stable, typical, predictable weather.
