That's some sloppy looking snow.
Yep it was on the ground awhile before I decided to move it.

Normally it doesn't hang around long but we were getting restless on being able to get down the hill along with our elderly neighbors that need care.

8" of snow two days ago, another 3 over night and 8" more forecast for tonight with up to a foot possible. I'm starting to run out of places to put the stuff. Photo is from yesterday. View attachment 728049
Weather man was a little conservative on his snow forecast. Had blowing and drifting snow so I have no way of telling how much, but at least a foot. Spent 6 hours just clearing enough snow off the driveway so I could get out and get fuel. The driveway was covered by 16 to 30 inches of snow. I got out in 4 wheel drive , but UPS won't be coming in until I widen it. Not easy, it's at least a third of a mile. Snowing again now

Snow is gone, but the rain is here. Almost 5 inches since last night. Water flooding parts of my property that haven't flooded in about 20 years! No problems for me and no flood damage to our home or shop, just a very impressive amount of water!

I usually use the snow depth on my porch bench as a gauge. It LIES. 12" on the bench - 16" out in the yard. So yesterday I plowed the driveway, mailbox area and some of the yard. The newly installed canopy knocks the snow off the overhanging branches - right into my lap. Oh JOY, oh joy.

I could still push thru the 16" with the Taco Wagon - down the driveway to get the mail. But figured I better clear it all - looks like we will be getting more - soon. Looks like the "more" is going to be rain.

Whatever - we need the moisture.

Puget sound region is now cut off in all directions road wise. All the passes are closed until Sunday and I5 is closed through Lewis county because of Chehalis River flooding. And the Columbia River Gorge is closed on both the north and south sides.

Isolated now too. Had to tell work, can't make it in today. Roads closed East and West, but i'm high and dry up on the hill. Now as long as we keep the power on....

Yes, crazy amount of rain. My gauge shows 6.6in for the last 'event' (couple of days).
