I have, at times, applied the parking brake when hopping off a running tractor, especially when stopped on a slope, and started moving off without releasing the brake. Not harmful since I realized it right away, but not ideal, either. By installing a simple micro switch with a wiper arm that is activated by the lever that sets the brake, hooked up to bright red indicator mounted on the dash where it's impossible to miss, that "problem" doesn't happen any more. The faded red "stick" behind the parking brake actuator lever is the wiper on the switch. It's springy, so it has a range of motion to work with the movement of the actuator.
