Pictures from a skid steer mowing contractor

Them right of way contractors are rough on stuff, but in their defense they are usually working in very grown up ROW's with one hidden thing after the next, to me fence wire is the absolute worst, I spend more time cutting it out of my forestry mower than anything.

I think everything used to be fenced in! Lol. I'll be way back in the woods and find old fencing grown into trees

I virtually find it on every job I go on, American wire, barb wire, electric fence wire, you name it, my mower does have studs that are designed to keep wire from making it's way around your spindle and it does help but there always seems to be some that finds it's way in there and it is time consuming to cut out.

Back to fighting army worms in one of my hay fields, if you have never had to deal with them consider it a blessing from the lord, this should be the last time this year. Be back to forestry mowing on Paynes Prarie tomorrow, also caught a picture of God's promise this afternoon and thought some of you might like it.

This morning's job a little forestry mowing on the edge of Paynes Prarie, hundreds of hidden stumps made for a slow go and rougher on my equipment than I like, but got it done.

You might go out now and drive a marker into each and every one of those stumps for next year.

Any Buffalo in sight? I had thought they had been relocated, but a coworker told me there was a pretty healthy small herd still in Paynes.

Certain places I will but this hill side is steep and slick, it's an old clay hill and it was all I could do in certain spots to keep the skid steer from sliding, so not on this one, and the stumps were cut so high in places it seemed like I constantly had one of my tracks up on one which is rough on the machine, but a lot of them are sweet gum stumps so in 3 or 4 years they should rot out, but most places that I forestry mow I will maintain with the tractor if they don't wait a whole year to get me back.

I didn't see any but I was on the West side of Interstate 75 and I believe the buffalo and the wild horses are on the East side of the Interstate, at least that's the only side that I have ever seen them on.

I'm sure some people from outside FLa are really confused about the prairie and Buffalo and are pictures a different landscape then it is but, it's still a prairie and Buffalo, just not like Kansas
