Four rivers, it was owned by Foley Land & Timber but Four rivers bought all of Foley's land maybe 4 or 5 years ago, it was over a half million acres in total, supposedly the largest land aquisition ever East of the Mississippi river.
I think he works for Coastal Timberlands Company. I don't see him on the Four Rivers website.

He said late spring , mid-summer and early fall, we haven't worked out all the exact details yet, but we both agreed if we don't stay on top of it, it will get back like it was.
There is NO DOUBT it could get back like that rather quickly. I have a hard time keeping up in the summer it turns back into a jungle in no time. Right now I knock it back best I can in the fall. My goal is not to loose any ground each year. But if you don't mow it ALL each fall by the next fall it is getting pretty thick. I am getting more tools to help me in this endeavor; walk behind string trimmer(works well but it keeps slinging off the strings), walk behind sickle mower(rebuilding it right now), sprayer set-up on the SxS, saw blade on Stihl weed eater, large 6' weed wiper for tractor FEL (have not used this one yet). One of these days I will have time to use it all.

I bet in FL the growing season goes rather late into the fall. It seems like there would be a sweet spot in the fall where you could knock that stuff down and it wouldn't grow back. But too early and you could get significant growth before things go dormant, then it's hitting the ground running in the spring. I would love to be able to get to all of mine 3 times a year.

Usually after Labor Day up here in North Florida you have about 6 weeks left to get in your last hay cutting as the nights begin to get a little cooler and the days start getting a little shorter, the weeds slow down a little as well, but it all really hinges on when we get that first frost, I have seen it as early as early November and as late as February but when we get it, the growing season for weeds is over.

Could be, one thing is for sure there is many hundreds of thousands of acres of timberland up in the Big Bend and Panhandle Regions of Florida, that is about the only area of Florida that hasn't been taken over by developers and investors, but I fear that is short lived.

Ever wonder what happens when a forestry drum mulcher goes against cast iron?

No idea what the hammers or skid steer looked like; but he left the hydrant that way, and county was out replacing the hydrant this morning. It was the crew clearing underbrush below some power lines.

Them right of way contractors are rough on stuff, but in their defense they are usually working in very grown up ROW's with one hidden thing after the next, to me fence wire is the absolute worst, I spend more time cutting it out of my forestry mower than anything.
