Curious about the hunting camp. Do you have deer living in that thick jungle?

Yes, there are plenty of deer right here around my camp,but I hunt in a club that I am a member of just across the road, it's 96,000 acres and we run hounds, there are also plenty of deer at my farm where I live, but I love to hunt with hounds, have since I was a boy.

So easy to keep the property owners happy when they roll in and see what was an impenetrable jungle turned into a beautiful tree covered savanna. Beautiful results!! It makes such a stark difference. Now the hard part, keeping it that way! In climates like FL and TN it does not take long for nature to take right back over. That is my struggle this afternoon, off to bush hog the bottomland.

I've watched a few videos of people hunting with hounds in Europe. Probably France. It was amazing to see all the hogs come out of the woods!!!!

We actually run deer, the woods are thick in places and other places you will have nice hammocks and creek bottoms, all the club land is owned by a big timber company and most of it is in planted pines, we do have a pretty good road system in the club, in a lot of places you could almost hunt out of a car.

What’s the name of the timber company? I have a friend that manages a 500,000 acre timber company and his office is in Tallahassee.

Four rivers, it was owned by Foley Land & Timber but Four rivers bought all of Foley's land maybe 4 or 5 years ago, it was over a half million acres in total, supposedly the largest land aquisition ever East of the Mississippi river.

He said late spring , mid-summer and early fall, we haven't worked out all the exact details yet, but we both agreed if we don't stay on top of it, it will get back like it was.
