I haven't read through this entire thread so if this has already suggested, sorry.

Perhaps you could donate them to a local organization that helps people with less means heat their homes? Maybe an organization like the Boy Scouts (or whatever they are called now) would come out and haul them away? Perhaps there is even a tax deduction for doing this?

Have pine logs galore from the lot clearing and I don't know what to do with them?
Average 16 to 24 inches in diameter.
Don't have a dump trailer so I can't take them anywhere.
Contacted a couple lumber places and they weren't too interested since they were pine?
Any sugesstions or ideas would be appreciated.View attachment 699958
Pine is in abundance to the mills right now. Prices are the lowest in almost 30 years. The mills are making a killing right now.

Wood-Mizer has a page on their website where people with portable sawmills for hire are listed. Choose the state where you live and it will show everybody who offers a portable sawmill service. Here is their link: Find a Local Sawyer | Wood-Mizer USA

I agree with plowhog that CL is a good place to start. It may take a while, but someone may contact you for them. Be sure to emphasise FREE.

I am amazed a lumber company would not want them. A friend had a lot of down trees (not sure which kind) from a bad storm last year, and she sold them all to a lumber company. The company came to her property to gather them and remove them.

You would probably have to cut them into smaller pieces, but if you are near a city with a compost programme, you should be able to give them for compost. As I said, though, you will likely have to cut them into much more manageable pieces first. Good luck.

No one wants mine either (Douglas Fur).. Free or otherwise. Even the chip and multch guy claims to have a backlog of hundreds so wont waste the fuel to come get them. I posted them and one person called, but he can never seem to make it over here. All cut 16'6" 16"-24" diameter. The top 1/3 of the trees were chipped into the woods. Excavator comes in a day or 2 to clear the trees back, so I guess they will just be the start of the burn pile.

Where are you located? I’d come get them in a heartbeat if you’re close, I have a sawmill. You could also post this on sawmill Facebook pages, like the woodland mills or the woodmizer fb group.

Firewood. That's a shame. Ponderosa pine is all I have here. We burned pine for the first 15 years we lived here. It's a fine firewood.

Here are the ways I got rid of a couple hundred very tall yellow pine trees…
1. Do an internet search to see if there is a local paper/pulpwood manufacturer. They will actually pay you for them. I think they pay per ton. The downfall with going this route is that you should know what length and tolerance they require the logs to be cut before you start (yes, I learned this the hard way), as they want a fully loaded truck. I think I was told that the length had to be XX feet +/- 2 inches, so they expect some precision.
2. The logs I cut too short for the pulpwood company to take and when I could not longer get a full truckload, I put an add in our Pennsylvania local farming newspaper, the Lancaster Farmer, giving away these pine logs free and loaded free for hobby sawmill use or for outdoor boiler use.
The outdoor boiler use prompted a good handful of calls, the hobby sawmill not so much, in fact only one call for minimum lengths and diameters.
End result, I got rid of everything…

Fun fact.

Douglas Fir is a very hard softwood while Balsa is a very soft hardwood.
One other fun fact, is that Douglas Fir is a great wood for building things with, including trim.
