Please Explain the use of a ToolBar/Drawbar

It's been a while since we visited this one.. almost eight years for me.
Dan, if I were you I'd get a spare draw bar and weld a standard 2" receiver tube to it. Easy solution.

Problem is I'm looking to insert a hitch mounted sander spreader however the hitch isn't a standard size. Come to find out its a special size with unique receiver tube let alone hitch something...

For light duty towing, find a foot or two of heavy wall rectangular tubing that will fit as is, or with some thin welded shims, then put a ball on the end, or weld a 2x2 receiver tube on the end.

I used the draw bar to pull my Swisher rough cut mower. I have used the mower for years with my 4 wheeler but since I bought the tractor I wanted to use it instead. I plan on eventually getting a standard brush hog but the Swisher still works for now. The factory drawbar/tongue was just too low to keep the mower level, so I put the draw bar on the 3 pt hitch and can adjust the height as needed. I can also hook it on one side or the other to provide more offset from the tractor. This is on a new Mahindra Max 26XL.

Can only remember using them as a kid on the old trailing implements. Had a 4 row ridger and seed drill behind one of those, and it was great for pulling things like a roller offset. Then you covered your tracks, if you went the right way round. Plus the 'topper' behind the old Fordson.. I use it as a pipe bender now, have two the same and put them together on the back links for bending steel. Have a series of steel pulleys and it works great

Albeit late to the party, you all made some great contraptions. Does anyone know of a drawbar plate hitch that I could plug into the 2 & 1/2" by 1" or so inch receiver? This is so unlike my 2 inch truck receiver for towing that I don't have the slightest use for a draw bar with a ball on that. At the end of the day, I'm looking for a proper square hitch so I can mount a sander which is an alternative to the 3 point/pto driven sanders...
