No. In moving up from one tractor to another, it take a 50% power increase before you really notice it. I went from 20-hp on the JD 750, to 33-hp on the Kubota B3300SU and, Bingo, I could do lots of tasks impossible before.
The Deere 750 is on same light frame in the Deere lineup as my Kubota 'B' is in the Kubota lineup. I believe Deere 790 is the same frame.
The L-series Kubotas are on the Kubota medium frame, about 600 pounds heavier than the B-frame. The extra weight, as inertia, allows tractor to accomplish more work than tractor with same horsepower, but lighter. Everything, especially axles, are a little more robust. Giant difference? No. Significant difference? Yes. With a loader on the tractor you will appreciate the extra frame weight. I wish I had a little more weight pulling my 6'6" Disc Harrow, I have to pull in MED with some throttle, bog down in HIGH.
In short, it is the heavier frame, not the horsepower, which is desirable.
At some point trying to pin down a decision like this on T-B-N becomes 'How many angels can dance on the head of a pin?' Pre-owned tractor condition, which you can see, and results of fluid analysis is more important.
Often I comment on benefits of having your tractor brand distributor close....but I expect every brand of tractor is sold in/around Orlando.
I'm glad I am 100 miles north of Orlando. If closer Disney would probably have me arrested for my earlier disparaging comment about rodents.
I really want a 38-hp to 45-hp tractor for you.
Where are the MASSEY-FERGUSON owners??
