Welcome to TBN
How long since fuel filter was changed & amount of fuel in fuel tank checked?

Maybe it is me but I am not clear reading your post. But what I am left with is the seems to be issue with a safety switch as it would try to start with PT engage and then you talk about putting the transmission levers in neutral.

You were bush hogging, If I understood what is going on first lay down where you can see under the transmission clearly and look for limb, or what ever you were cutting to see if find one hold a lever out of position or has pulled wires loose. I have a different model Kubota this happened to. Found the issue by holding the key in the start position and moving one level at the time. Found it and went to adjust it but it was only slightly out of adjustment, transmission was fully disengage so I left it alone for an anti theft help. Just know which lever it is and which way to hold it.

Check for wires to sensor...I believe sensor located under right floor board.

It's hard to tell sometimes if you have a fuel or safety switch problem. Is the sediment bowl full of fuel? Try cracking your bleeder screw to see if diesel comes out.

How was the tractor running before? Fuel issues usually give some warning where safeties usually fail at once.

I think he's saying it WONT TURN OVER now..??
I like Kthompson's "diagnostics"
IF you REALLY need to get it out of the field.. Put ALL the levers in neutral, turn the key ON & "jump the starter" to get the motor to spin..
Heavy gauge wire to big post on starter to little spade on starter..
STAND BACK.. You DONT KNOW if its REALLY in neutral & it might run your ***** over.!!!
You'll probably have to hot wire or remove the inj. pump shut off solenoid, before the engine will start/run.
Good luck.

The way I understood it, the starter isn't working at all. Seems like to me, it'd be pretty rough on a starter trying to start it, with the PTO engaged, especially if it pulled the tractor down enough to kill it. I'd have to say the starter is now toast...
