Next spring I am going to need to plow 2 or 3 Acres. I've never done any plowing. On another site I ask for advice about plowing. Someone said they thought the B2920 could handle a two bottom plow with 14" plowshares. Does this sound reasonable? Also, is it possible to just till or is plowing better? What kind of pattern is best to use when plowing or does it matter? Do you start in the center and work freom one side? Sorry these are dumb questions but I am new at this farming stuff. Any othe advice on techniques would be appreciated. Thanks!

I don't think it will handle two 14's. It may have the power, but it won't have the weight. I think you will have to go with a single 12" or maybe 14". It may pull better with the FEL as added weight, you will have to experiment.

I'm not an expert here, but it seems like you might be able to get away with 2 x 12" or so. The only reason I say this is because we used to pull a 1 x 10 or 12" plow with a little foofoo 2wd JD 316. We pulled it through nice midwestern soil, but still. The 2920 is a heck of a lot more tractor.

I agree with MDM that you would have to experiment with ballasting.
