I almost did not find it searching on the Deere website. It is listed under the loader, not the tractor. Code 9049 List $303, Third function Hydraulic lines and hoses. JC

If that includes all the hoses and lines then you'd just need to add the quick connects. As I recall I spent close to $300 just for all the hoses and quick connects. You'd need four pairs of quick connects with this set up I think based on the description as you'd have front, rear and two middle sets where the hoses connect with the FEL lines. It may end up costing you another $75-150 for the quick connects depending on where you get them. Surplus Center is popular and a bargain for that type of fitting. MedTex - Nice tractor. Nice set up. Congrats. You've got to be pretty excited. Did you mention the make, model, and size of the Box Blade you got. I may of missed it. I've been looking for a bit but haven't decided on anything yet. You'll be happy with the grapple. I have the 48" millonzi as well. Island Tractor's info helped me at the time also. I have an L39 TLB and was a little concerned with it matching up well. The loader specs are similar to yours and I T's (2767 lbs. @ pp). It has held up fine. I did slightly bend a front tooth. Mostly the operators fault. Pulling a large waterlogged tree out of a creek at a tough torque angle. It still works great. I have front remotes with buttons on the joystick and I really like the set up. I'll toss in a few pics to give you something else to look at.

In that case, 300 bucks is a goo deal especially as the kit is presumably customized for your loader. I had to strap thick hoses down my FEL which worked but was certainly less neat looking and more vulnerable than properly attached lines.

Yekrut, Thanks and yes I am excited -- the tractor project list grows daily!! Many of these projects will require the Millonzi LD48 when I get it next month. I got the Frontier BB2072 boxblade (has that same nice green color). I played with it a little bit and seems to fit the bill. I believe it is standard/light duty, but should be fine for me. Oh, and nice pics by the way of your tractor setup. Amazing what that grapple can do. That tree looks big

This confuses me a little. I have two connects in the rear. So I assumed that two lines/hoses would run from them, under belly, up the loader arms, and connect to grapple with two connects. Or maybe with the kit, the two lines connect to an intermediate point and then continue on (thus requiring the extra connects).

In any case, looks like everything is included so I don't have to worry about it. Thanks RollTide, this does sound like a great setup -- it is clean and leaves little room for error which I like.

Wow I didn't realize hoses and connects were so expensive. If I had to buy connects with the kit and the total cost approached $500, then I'd have to take another look at the WR Long Electric over hydraulic kit. But the JD kit at $303 sounds like a great way to go.

With the kit, I assume that I can still easily disconnect the rear connects and use the rear remotes for a 3PT attachment if need be (my neighbor has a disc that uses hydraulics that I may borrow in return for some grapple work).

Yes, the JD kit must have an intermediate connect point at the FEL post so you will not have a single length of hose going from rear remotes all the way to the grapple. A single 1/4 inch line would be the cheapest solution however and you could do that but the JD kit will give you a much neater and permanent solution.

Hydraulic hoses and connects can be obtained more cheaply through Surplus Center but you need to know exactly what to order and the types of fittings and sizes etc can be confusing. Retail hydraulic shops and dealers can do all that thinking for you but they are expensive. The $300 estimate is based on a dealer providing all the supplies. I'd guess a minimalist arrangement could be put together for less than half that through the surplus center.

Yes, you can easily disconnect the grapple controls at the rear remote outlets and use the remotes for some other implement.

I talked to local dealer about the JD kit for rear SCV. Quoted me $290 for it, but... says it meant for mid-SCVs and terminates there. So I'd have to get extra hoses and couplers to connect rear SCV to Mid-point. Quoted me 3 hours labor, but I figure I'd try to hook it up myself. I asked why 3 hours and he said it is pretty easy, but time consuming to run the hoses from rear to mid-point and avoid moving parts. Looks pretty straight-forward to me.

The name of the kit is "Third function Hydraulic lines and hoses" and so I guess it is not a "Rear" Third function Hydraulic lines and hoses. I may call another dealer to verify because it sounds like RollTide's kit came with everything needed to reach the rear SVC?

With the extra cost of hoses and couplers I'm looking at $290 plus $100 or so? Would still be the way to go I believe. I assume that the JD kit would be compatible with the WR Long electric over hydraulic kit (just in case I decide to upgrade to that later... probably won't though).

Now if I can just figure out which hoses and couplers to get from the surplus store to connect rears to JD Kit.

3 hours!!! Try 30 minutes if you are slow, blind and uncoordinated. I don't know what they were intending to do but basically you just 1) take a garden hose and run it from the rear remote connections forward over the rear axle, under the operatior station and up the FEL post on the left side (right side typically has the FEL control lines). Measure the amount of hose necessary to do that run and order two lengths of 1/4 inch hose with NPT threads. Don't forget to add some length to allow a gentle bend whereever a 90 degree bend is required. 2) order appropriate adapters and quick connects. Most rear remotes use 1/2 inch pioneer style qcs but you could discuss that with your hydraulic supplier. You'd need step up bushings from 1/4 inch line to 1/2 inch unless you can buy the hose with 1/2 inch NPT connectors directly. I don't know what the connectors are on the JD kit but obviously you'd need the adapters and qcs to match. 3)attach quick couplers to the hydraulic lines (using some teflon tape), 4) run the hoses and connect them. 5) get the hoses tied out of harms way with zip ties or if you are really ambitious use the special hydraulic hose clamps to hold them even more securely. 6) fire her up and you should be ready to go (assuming you have already installed the JD kit). It really takes only 15-20 minutes to put the hoses and quick connects together and about another 10-15 minutes to run the hoses over the axle etc and zip tie them in place. 7) once you have everything running, put a big sheet eating grin on your face for saving so much money and take your family out for a nice meal.:)

Regarding what to buy from the surplus store or retail hydraulic dealer, what they need to know are the types of connectors you will be linking into at both ends (type, size, male/female) and what size and length hose you need (1/4 inch should be fine for a grapple). The rest they can help you with and there are different ways of making the connections (I am most familiar with NPT but JIC works fine too.)

I got this kit, and installed it on my tractor. The instructions said it is for the 300 and 400 loader. All of it came in one bag. It had
1.two male connects for the rear.
2. hoses to go from rear to mid.
3.A bracket to mount connects over the current mid connects and two female connects
4.hoses with male connects to go to hard lines on loader frame
5.hard lines for loader are and 1 male /1 female connect on end of hard lines
6.a few zip ties.
I ordered this with my tractor, but the dealer forgot to add it to the tractor. He ordered it and called me when it came in. He offered to put it on , but I thought I could, and did. JC
