They are wicked! That's where the pole saw is worth it's weight. You can reach in to make a cut without tearing the skin off your arms.

The ability to each over or into a mess to cut off a tree, at ground level, is the "unknown utility" of pole saws that 90% of saw users don't seem to know.

I agree, I’ve used my pole saw on Honeysuckle where the only way you can get to the base of it would be on your hands and knees.

Hate Honeysuckle, the weed of the forest. Grows quick, spreads fast, most always found near mature trees (seeds spread by birds). Cut them off and they resprout. Best to pull them with brush grubber or do like Tim Taylor on Tool Time - Use more power

You guys just sent me to Google "Honeysuckle".....because I have them growing on my Dump Rake as a vining decoration. Geeze.....there are 180 species of that plant....Mine must not be the hated species. I do have to prune them every fall however....and....I do see them growing along rock walls where I did not plant them.....
Cheers,
Mike

Finished cleaning off the last section of pasture fence with the Echo pole saw. I consolidated a lot of the bigger limbs and bushes into piles to make it easier to move with the grapple. Hard to tell from the pic how big these piles are but it'll take several trips per pile with my 66" wide grapple to move. After all that bigger stuff is gone I'll take the landscape rake and clean up the smaller sticks.

Over the weekend we hiked a trail to inspect and see what all had fallen over it this winter. We might get back this weekend to camp and clear them. 😁

Just got a Milwaukee M18 Pole saw and trimmer with Quick-Lok on sale. Extension is ordered.
So Far it has done pretty well. We will see how heavy it feels with the extension.

Right now trimmed a few smaller trees and bucked a hanging branch about 30 feet long and 5 inches at the base.
Power is good, like that the head has all metal bits and gears for the chain drive.
Leaks oil unless you store nose down.

Still see some smaller branches that I will use the manual saw on (clipper) , but this has saved me hours and from having to pull out the chainsaw for such a small job.

Do post photos when you can. What is a manual saw on (clipper)??

Non-powered tree pruner. Has a saw blade and a lopper. The lopper is good for small branches that the pole saw just want to fall through. I should have been more specific.

Funny,, I've got 3 or 4 complete pole saws here and I never have used or even owned a manual saw on (you call clipper). :D Of course we head into the woods and cut and cut and cut. I hope to sell my Echo setup's and get another Stihl this spring.
