Just amazing!! The pics with the snow could be used for a Christmas card or a tractor calendar. :)

What a great little shed/shop. Have you had any condensation issues inside?

If it's been below freezing for a week then changes to 45deg and humid within the course of a day, and I keep the shop door open the humid air will come in and condensate on cold metal stuff. I just don't leave the door open those days. The shop isn't air tight by any means but there's not a ton of air flow. I did do my best to close things up to keep out the squirrels. Mice find their way in but the cats are doing their job there. I was thinking of throwing a $10 can of expanding spray foam insulation at it to button things up more.

Nice build! Would love to do something like this but probably put lean to on side of shop.

I've got a bunch of ash trees on my property that need to come down and I'd like to do something like that with them. I'm thinking about some sort of "fort" for my step-son.

Doing the same kind of thing, I built the kids a playhouse this summer. They wanted a treehouse but I went with an elevated playhouse so I could sneak in some storage below it.

I also wanted it to be sealed up better to keep out bugs and spiders during the summer when they camp out in it. I kept track of expenses and I spent a total of $550. Plywood decking, osb sheathing, rough cut pine siding, and metal roofing. The rest was salvaged materials, door, windows, old cedar decking. I also lucked out with thirty used 8' 4x4s that I used for floor joists and "post and beam" interior.

Happy kids!

Wow, that is a cool playhouse -- those are some lucky kids! I am going to bookmark that post since I'll be building one in a year or two.

Thanks to everyone for the great comments!

I put the shed roofing on first then the shop roofing comes down right on top of it so the corrugation matches up. There's about 4-5" of overlap. Can't get a good exterior photo of it now due to the snow but here's what it looks like from the inside.

I was a little worried about running the wood stove and have the melting snow run off the shop and ice dam over the shed part. Then it might back up and drip into the shop but that hasn't happened. If it ever did I was going to cut an inch off of the shop roofing and get a roll of 12" or wider flashing to stick under the shop roofing and over the shed roofing. If I had flashing I would have done it that way but I was trying my best to make things work with what I had. It hasn't been an issue so far.

Thanks
