Nice building. Are those 12W x 12H doors? Hard to tell from the pic.

Nice work. A few questions:

How thick did you go?
Did you do it yourself or hire it done?
If hired, how much did that cost you?
Why did you opt for 2 pours instead of 1?

I am gonna be doing my 40x40 in the next week or 2. Just depends on wether and schedules of everyone I plan on having help. I was tossing around the idea of doing 2 pours also...

It was a hired job....5 inches deep with 4 inches of stone....cost me $5800. He told me he had to do it in two pours because it was easier with me wanting a broom finish. Said he could do it in one pour if I wanted a smooth finish.

According to my calculations that is a pretty good deal. We get at least $1 more per sq ft around here for the concrete work alone, not to mention the gravel. Looks great. Watch that porch as it may try to heave and push up on your flashing/sheet metal/threshold depending on how it was done.

I wish I had one just like it!

I have a 30x40 and I went to a 4" floor with a bed of road gravel and a 6 mill vapor barrier and rebar to give strength to the floor, I also have a 4' drain in the middle. The finish on the floor is smooth and a day later he came back to cut around the drain and a few beams.
