Don't be to surprised if you find more than a duck or two in your pond. We get them all the time and they come right up to the house to feed out of the trough feeder that was meant for the birds

I would much rather see a flock of ducks than one single Canadian Goose.

Can anyone tell my why Canadian Geese are "protected"?
Around here they stay all year and drop poop everywhere. What a mess! They stop traffic by walking across busy roads and have taken over every park in the area that has a water feature of any type..............nasty beasties!
About the only legal methods of "control" I've heard about are letting dogs bark at them. Just what I need, more barking dogs!

If there is the possiblity of the koi getting into the wild stream, I believe the answer will be NO. As it should be, think of all the trouble exotics have caused in various rivers and lakes. Sorry just my thoughts, your project sounds interesting other then the koi.
