Well, if I'm going to have a calendar hanging up on the wall of my garage...I don't mind it having tractors, but I'm not particularly fond of the idea of the "and the men who love them" part

i looked at a JD calender the other day. they wanted $17.99cdn needless to say i didn't buy [mainly because i own a Massey] but still wouldn't give them the money for it. I guess i will head back to the MF dealer they give out nice calenders and it is free. ah except for the tractor and loader and BH etc. i guess i should get a life time supply of calenders Shane

I made a typo when I first typed this...It seems the "r" and "u" are both properly typed with the index finger...I just used the wrong hand. I would never make fun of an autistic person. My apology to whomever reported it, I would never have been so cruel.

A couple winter views from this past weekend, and a snowman picture, Kathleen and I put one together yesterday ! We need to keep in practice in case we ever get any grand children !

Simply amazing views that you have there. Every time you post pics of them, I think of how nice that must be, but then I remember that if there's snow, it's cold out. We're struggling through 60 degree temps right now, so you get an idea of my cold tolerance!!!

Thanks for mentioning that the pic was of a snowman. I had to look for him in there. It reminds me of those paintings that lady does of the painted horses in the birch trees, or the hidden wolves in the wilderness prints. I was looking at it wondering if there was a snowman in there or not? hahaha

That's funny! Eddie, I thought the same thing. I was gonna say I should send Scotty a spray bottle of green or blue dye to spray on the snowman to make him show up in the snow. Here, we get this thin slushy snow and normally the snowman has so much dirt in it that it easily shows up. Scotty's clean snow blends into the surroundings.

When I was a kid, my mother would make snowcones when/if we got enough snow to "clean the atmosphere." She wouldn't do it if we just got a couple of inches. It had to be 6 inches of snow or more. I don't think there is anything better than sitting in front of the fire, trying to keep warm while eating a real snow snowcone.

Scotty, thanks for the pictures. It's 16 degrees here in Sunset, TX this morning, but dry as a bone.

Jim, I don't think we ever had real snowcones, but I hadn't thought of our snow ice cream in many years. As with your mother, we had to have a pretty good snow, then she'd let us get a big bowl of snow, mix in a little milk, sugar, and vanilla and had snow ice cream.

Wondering if you leave the chairs on the porch all winter. We were up north last week, but there was too much snow to drive in and we didn't feel up to snowshoeing in the mile to camp. So it will be this spring.

Pretty cool this morning -5F when I got up but it warmed right up to 7 above this afternoon.
