Playing in snow is for nothing.
oh, i disagree. that snow has a great and important purpose. if it wasn't for cold weather and the threat of big snow, we'd never get the summer tourists to go home after labor day.
sorry, but i get a little confused. we get regular storms dumping 1-2 feet in a day or so up here, and its no big deal. people stay home 1 day, the roads get cleared, then all gets back to normal.
be thankful for that. i live in a nice rural state and over the last 15-20 years i've seen a lot of changes in traffic and driving habits. early this morning the news said there was a 19 car pileup on the highway (we only have one primary interstate highway in this state). 19 cars? i wasn't near that area, but seriously, with as much publicity as this storm has had, and the fact that it had been going on for a while, why is it that speeds were high enough and traveling distances were low enough for a 19 car pileup? snow isn't anything new here, but many drivers disregard and have little respect for it. someone will probably even blame the state for not having it plowed, salted, and sanded enough.
