Posible blizzard coming to Massachusetts and surrounding states

those new storms are turning to rain, they think for us, but you guys are going to get another dose.
The driveway melt companies must be licking their corporate chops.

As you well know, it becomes "where to put it" after a while. Our local shopping centers are crazy dangerous after a serious snow.
They make snow piles right where you need line of sight to get out. Yo fellows, how about dumping it in the back...?

Slow and easy on the shoveling.

Shovel? What's that? We've got a couple around here somewhere.. I bet you can't buy one in a lot of the hardware stores right now.

Still snowing here, and wind has veered to the NNW, blowing like he** won't have it in prolonged gusts. Tomorrow's looking like a better clearing day, which means I won't be able to go to work. Darn it all, that really puts a damper on things. Yeah.

Only 6" here in the 'Dacks, but used the Kubota anyway. My snowblower is sitting idle these days.

Here are a few pix of some of the cleanup we did after the "Blizzard of 2013"
The blower got a real workout and worked like a champ.

A picture of the tractor stuck in the snow on the lawn. It's a steep hill with poor traction without the snow and the snow was about 30" deep. I did manage to push forward about 25' before getting stuck. Took the snowblower to rescue myself, I couldn't do it with the bucket curl because of the hill (kept sliding back). Luckily this was after I had finished all the real work.

Sometimes the "play" is more work than the work.

9pm at night, no visibility... didn't see the edge?
buckle up,just like in your truck...

Yes buckle up even if you have a cab. Some guys still don't realize the purpose of the seat belt on a tractor has little to do with collision hazard, it's to keep the driver within the safety zone of the ROPS in a rollover (for ROPS equipped tractors) and to prevent driver bouncing off the pedals during road travel on both ROPS and cab tractors. Before I figured what the belt was for I would sometimes be tossed off controls on bumpy roads and compression would stop or slow down the machine considerably, probably causing other drivers to curse "what is the idiot doing" which was not a pleasant thought for me.

Lots of snow here tomorrow, then rain on Tuesday, then hard freeze on Wednesday which means all the slushy wet mess on Tuesday will have to be cleared and hauled away on the double to prevent the formation of parking lot icebergs that can defeat anything below 250 hp and cause severe hardship to bigger monsters. Welcome to nothern Maine.
