He's baaack! I hadn't seen him in a couple of days but he's back about 4 in the morning again. I'm still waiting for the coyote trap from the humane society.

Ahh, it makes the bloodthirsty Viking in me drool... nice quartering away shot, I can picture the arrow disappearing right behind the front shoulder.

All that aside, nice looking critter. Definitely coyote, and definitely trouble long term. I'm surprised you haven't seen 4 or 5 in the same group. Yet.

I've been waiting for the coyote trap from the humane society for over a month and I keep getting photos of the coyote on my game camera and have been worrying about him getting my wife's pygmy goats.

A few nights ago I was watching Billy The Exterminator on A&E TV and my wife said "why don't you call him?" So I did. It really surprised me when they said he would come out to see if he could catch it. He said that coyotes are very hard to catch in a live trap but he will give it a try.

This evening he came out and set up a trap and said to call him in the morning and tell him if he caught anything. If not he will try different bait tomorrow night. If he catches it we will be on his TV show. I have to remember to wear my TBN cap.

Way to go, Tallyho. That's pretty cool. Who'd a thunk it? If all goes well you get your coyote removed and become an instant local celebrity. Here's hoping there's a coyote waiting in the morning.

No coyote today. He said he might try live bait in the trap tonight.

I'll be watching to see how the trapping goes. I'm with jbooth..... live bait INSIDE the live trap, live trap out of reach, leg trap buried in the dust under the live trap, all your domestic critters shut in. Shoot him when caught.

Catching a coyote INSIDE a live trap is extremely, extremely difficult. We'll just see how good Billy the Exterminator really is.....

Been keeping up with this thread. I would sure take the livestock eaters out of the gene pool instead of relocating to another area. If this coyote happens to be a momma, what do you suppose she has taught her babies. Coyote prey on domestic animals because they are easier, not because they taste better. May just taste better too.

Been keeping up with this thread. I would sure take the livestock eaters out of the gene pool instead of relocating to another area.

I have tried to find out what the law was on this matter. From what I have read it appears that it is illegal to relocate coyotes anywhere except into a foxpen. There is a foxpen about 80 miles away and I am sure they would love to have a free coyote.
