Oh, heck no, the Super UDT made a huge difference! The "grin" was because I was again "friends" with my RTV! I don't think you can describe the difference it made in both my RTV and my 5030. Definitely no sarcasm at all. Sorry if you thought so; but not in the slightest did I intend anything other than what I said.

Whoodle, I haven't tried to climb in reverse, but I've been in thick mud and I believe the RTV is geared higher in reverse than "L". I have had it where it wouldn't spin the tires in thick mud in reverse, but would pull fine in "L".

Jippy, I think if I got just enough more power to be able to turn the tires even when they have strong traction on the hills I'd be fine with it. Also, I wouldn't be the only one "stuck" with riding it on the trails. It really does ride smoother. Sometimes my back likes that fact. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I hear ya. Also, reverse is more or less equal to medium range (gearing).

Just a thought. Do this on level ground. Make sure everyone stays clear. Chain your RTV to a post, tree or anything else that won't move. Put it in low range and apply throttle. If it can spin the tires then you'll know that it isn't a problem with power and probably is a trans fluid pick-up problem while on a steep slope.

Dean,
I don't really have anything to ask or add. I just wanted to see if you is you and me is me. Maybe I'll do better after I learn to navigate this site. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Hey guys,
I see a couple of guys here I know. Dean and John. See ya got a discussion on RTV's. I really can't add much as I've never seen one up close but sure could find use for one of them especially at hunting season up in my camp in the Adirondack mountains. Dean, maybe you could bring that RTV and we could invite John for a Whitetail deer hunt. LOL
Talk to ya later I have some errands to do for the Mrs. (as usual) /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Nice to hear from both of you and of course anyone else so inclined!!
Dean

Side note some folks are dissapointed with the forward speed as it is limited to 26 MPH (plenty fast enough for work applications), My solution was to rename mine " The Go Faster" I noticed on another forum the nick-name is catching on and recently I have even heard a customer asked if he could get a demo in a "Go Faster" I allmost fell over , Are You Listining Mother Kubota???

Hey Dargo,

Personally, I've been finding that just leaving it in 2wd makes it seem to climb better. No differential lock either. Have you tried that?

( I can't speak for Dargo but I don't believe he was being sarcastic with you. In my work I deal with a lot of e-mail correspondence and sometimes wording in type versus saying the same thing direct in conversation can be totally misinterpreted. I find it hard sometimes to not sound sarcastic when responding to comments made on this forum and others. I am sure it happens deliberately, but in this case I think he was definitely agreeing with you.

For what it's worth, I also agree with you on using the Super UDT oil as well. Very important.

Mark my words, the problem is Archdean. Wait and see, the pattern has already started... I see his other cronies have followed him as well...

Ducati,

Your following me around to various forms and making harassing comments (your actions) is neither beneficial and is certainly something that will no longer be tolerated by me or any one that I may invite, that chooses to join this forum of their own free will!

I would hope that you can see fit to stop the personal stalking / harassment's and I feel confident that management would concur, should that be necessary!!
