According to this state tax site VA sales tax is 5%. So I am thinking with the discount you should be able to walk away exactly at list price. I think I had 3% off for visiting the factory and then went home and had it sent via private carrier to avoid the tax and get the discount.

Like Barry I was around $600 on shipping if I remember correctly and this put me about $375 above list price. For you, NH shipping will be substantially more but towing that far with todays gas prices wouldn't be cheap either. Good luck!

I just had the 1430 and multible attachments shipped by a private carrier to NW Mass for $1600. Since it was shipped, i didn't have to pay the VA 5% tax.If you had taken it yourself than you would have had to pay the 5% VA tax. I paid the tractor by check and got the 5% off, the rest i put on a credit card. I'm looking into wether i have to pay Mass 5% "use" tax or not since there is no other place to get the Power trac than in VA. Hope this helps to give you a general idea for shipping cost and tax
