Kubota BX25D
Just picked up a 3 point splitter that I'm going to use on my Kubota BX25. I know, I know, it's going to be slow etc...I don;t do much splitting so not having a small engine sitting idle for long periods of time are the major pro to the purchase. I picked it up used(looks like it's hardly been used based on the spitting wedge) and am wondering what steps I should take to make sure I don't contaminate my tractors fluid.

Brings me to a second question. I need to have adapters made to hook up to the power beyond on the back where the backhoe connects. Haven't looked very deep yet, but which is the output and return on the PB block?

Thanks in advance

If you are going to use tractors "power beyond" you are going to mix fluids there is no way to avoid it.......

Alternative is you could get recommended fluid for you Kubota and purge the cylinder manually and refill with proper fluid before hooking up to PB on tractor but it's going to be a real pain....

Alternative is you may be overthinking this, hydraulic fluid for most part is hydraulic fluid (as long as it's not contaminated) and how much fluid are you talking about....

Its just a few hoses and one hyd cylinder. Drain the hoses, dump the cylinder on each side of piston and your left with nearly no fluid left.
