I have 1972 Ford 2000 3 cyl. diesel 6 speed trans. pto. is trans. drive. My new pressure plate has a flat piece of metal with a square slot cut in it under each of the three adjusting nuts of the fingers. They are painted yellow. The adjusting nuts sit on a raised square platform that is a good bit higher than the yellow spacers so they just fall out. I can slide them in and out with ease. I can't see any way to keep them in place. My old pressure plate does not have any spacers under the adj. nuts. Why are these even on there and what should I do with them?
Thanks Kenny

They are for shipping. They were used tight until you bolted the pressure plate down, then they get loose. Toss them.
