Alright people.... for the record..... since the inquisition seems to be ongoing....

To our critics....How many Yanmar dealers here can honestly say they core every single radiator, even on the tractors that show no evidence of cooling issues????

Travis is another example of a member looking for objective advice getting confused by the misinformation, and frustrated by the turf war some folks always want to wage on here.

The rest of your post I could care less about as it casts no aspersions in our direction. I'd like some clarification for the part above, as it tends to imply that yanmar dealers have been among your critics in this thread. What yanmar dealers have been your critics in this thread? What turf war has been waged in this thread?

The only post I made in this thread was in direct reference to another poster's comments about antifreeze type, and even then I simply quoted and credited a specific article. Dave's Tractor posted saying it sounded like the dealer (that would be you I suppose) was trying hard.

I was PMd and emailed by many people asking me to weigh in on this thread and my repeated reply was that it was not appropriate for me to do so. It wasn't and I didn't. Other yanmar dealers have stayed out of this as well. But you now show up and challenge yanmar dealers and suggest Travis is the victim of a turf war. What do yanmar dealers have to do with this? Which ones questioned your original handling/testing of the radiator? Why do you even reference yanmar dealers? Who has waged a turf war?

I assume you represent RCO, though you do not identify yourself in your profile other than by website. I would hope you would re-read this thread and then either clarify your reference to yanmar dealers, or acknowledge that it was improper to begin with.

Wayne,

Personally, I think you owe ProdaddyTX (John with RCO) an apollogy.

I fully understand the post that John (ProdaddyTX) wrote......... HE WAS IN NO WAY WAS CALLING YOU A CRITIC (or however you spell the word).... He was wanting a DEALER to REPLY TO the CRITICS on here......He meant NOTHING WHAT SO EVER towards the Yanmar dealers............Yes, you can say I AM defending them because they haven't did anything wrong at all.........

As far as I am concerned, I rate LMTC and RCO the same..........From what I've heard about YOUR BUSINESS has all been good.........SAME AS RCO........This is what I am talking about........WE are ALL in this business together............THE BUYING AND SELLING OF GRAY MARKET TRACTORS..........Which by the way, is the prettiest dam shade of "gray" that I've ever seen!!!!".........(A lightbulb just turned on in my head:......If someone wants to put this on T-shirts, bumper stickers, etc...., I want to be the copyright holder!!)

Seriously, I will say it again.......I rate you and rco the same.........BOTH of you sell Yanmar tractors and BOTH of you BACK YOUR CUSTOMERS.................Somebody say Amen, PRAISE THE LORD for letting these words come to me!!

Thanks for understanding,

Travis R

Travis you used a word in there that doesn't go with Praise the Lord. I will only say one more thing, and I'm out, and that is I would never buy a tractor from rco, but I sure would from LMTC. So think what you will, and let the chips fall where they may.

Travis,
I was not addressing you. I take issue with what that poster wrote, and I directed it to that poster. I am quite certain he is capable of responding when and if he chooses to do so, and we will come to an understanding or we will go away disagreeing. Neither outcome will be earth-shattering for either one of us.
I am currently abiding by something I was asked not to do, but I have my limits. I suggest you think long and hard when you tell me that I owe him an apology.

Hey ya'll,

I said I would post if I had any problems with my YM2000. Well, here goes:

1......I found that the right side high beam head light don't work (there is a burnt spot in the bulb.)

2......As Stuart (RCO) told me, check all the nuts, bolts, fasteners, etc..........the exhaust AND manifold were loose.

3......The Main Question: IS IT RUNNING HOT????

Well Here it goes. If an item as small as #1 above was over looked in the recon. process What major item was over looked durning the recon. process ?? I don't consider over looked item # 2 as a small overlooked item. This is something(in my opinion) a dealer would do b-4 it left the shop .I didn't have to check the nuts & bolts on my tractor when I got it .

Yes, I did and I'm sorry for that........I was just feeling good for a change...........Hey, I do curse, I do pray, I am saved, and KNOW where I'm going when my number is called................

BACK TO YANMARS................THAT IS THE PROBLEM...........WHY DOES EVERYONE SEEM TO DISLIKE RCO TRACTOR????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????WHAT HAVE THEY DONE WRONG?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????NO ONE CAN SEEM TO ANSWER THIS....................WHY?????????????????????????????????????? I NEED TO KNOW BECAUSE I BOUGHT FROM THEM........SEND ME A PM IF YOU DON'T WANT TO PUT IT ON THE BOARD.......

pruntyc,

You made it SOUND like you walked into a store and said, "I want a box of oreo cookies".....the clerk replied, "We are out of them right now, sir. A group of CHILDren came in and bought all we had..... Pecan sandies are what we have right now, sir......but if you want, we could special ordrer the oreos and they'll be here in a couple days"....... You replied back, "NO, NO, NO. I want the oreos and I want em' NOW.................I'm going to the store down the street"... Then you walked out, slammed the door, and rode off on your BICYCLE, CRYING...................Cheer up man, RCO are too good of people...They won't hurt ya'.

(I used oreos and pecan sandies as examples because I eat them every night while drinking a glass of good ole vitamin D (the red cap) milk.)

Why do some select people on here have it in for RCO tractor? Have they or do they know someone who has had a bad run-in with them?........If so, we need to get it adressed so RCO CAN BE ACCEPTED HERE..........I personally no what its like to not be accepted for something, but thats beside the point...........Certain people think they own/control the Yanmar forum........That is obvious..........But the truth is that WE, US, AS A GROUP OF PEOPLE are who make the forum................I am the one who is having the tractor trouble, JUST trying to get to the bottom of it to find out whats wrong with my tractor.................And i'll say again, if RCO does not satisfy me, I will change my views towards them and their business.

THANK FOR EVERYONE'S SUPPORT.......IT MEANS A LOT........I AM ALWAYS TELLING THE LOCALS HERE ABOUT TBN AND HOW NICE THE PEOPLE ARE...........This is my hobby, ya'll.......I absolutly love it..........

Wayne,

I DID NOT TELL you to apologize to him....That would be wrong of me......I simply stated, with no intentions of stepping on your toes, that I THINK you owe him an apollogy, and I still do think that.

Yes, John IS very capable of defending himself, and like you, defending yall's businesses...........I wanted to address your post BEFORE it got blown out of proportion.......Thats all.....

Mr. Wayne,

What do you have against RCO tractor? Is it in old posts here on TBN? If so, I want to read them...... WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO YOU OR YOUR BUSINESS?

I said it before and here it is again........I rate your business and rco's business the same................Both are honest people, and Both stand behind their tractors 100%.................I almost bought from you Mr. Wayne, along with Mr. Danny Parker and Mr. Stan Hoye but I got a better deal/price from rco......Thats all........Maybe next time I'll get a better deal from you, IF you still want my business............I don't always go the cheaper route.........This time I had no choice....I was/is low on money and needed a dependable tractor.

You got a better price from RCO, but it is apparent that you didn't get a better deal. I use to shop for the absolute lowest price, I still do on somethings. When it is a product that I know nothing about or something that I know I can't fix myself, I don't go with the lowest price. Travis we have all tried to help you. Look through your old posts. I did last night, in the first post you made about buying a Yanmar, you said,
Travis_R said:
I know that I sould probably stay away from Vietnam Recons.

You were on the right track.

Then when you bought a recon you said,
It is a Vietnam 'recon'. I've thought about it and thought about it but I don't care where it was reconditioned as long as I get good service out of it.... I have hear some bad stories on these tractors, BUT, I have to admit, i've HEARD MORE GOOD than bad. Travis
Then you got mad at Kenmac for his comment or lack of comment.

You have asked why there aren't more dealers on here helping you. The dealers that frequent this board, EFC, Hoye, LMTC and others are constantly answering the phone with customers like yourself, who bought one of these recons and are now trying to find solutions outside the dealer they bought from. I am sure there are some people who are happy with their recons, I read about it on TBN, I have also seen first hand the recons in the shop. I remember the first one I saw and thinking it was the best looking Yanmar YM1700 I had seen, but none the less it was in another dealers shop A bad Yanmar is like a bad dealer, they make the rest of the dealers selling quality products look bad. It hurts the industry, and the dealers who don't sell them want nothing to do with them. I hope RCO backs their product for you, I really do, it will say something about their company. However, you bought a reconditioned product, and in this reconditioning process, I hear alot about these tractors being fixed, bumper to bumper. Now so far, you have had a burnt out headlight, a bad sensor and now it is over heating. Is there anything else they missed? It doesn't sound like everything was fixed does it?

You said this on page 14 of this thread, SEP 5 2006
Travis_R said:
You know, I gotta say that as of right now I have not been exactly 100 percent satisfied with this YM2000 or RCO Tractor.............Travis

You need to stick with that mindset. Sending you a 50 cent headlight bulb isn't all there is to being a good dealer. Hold their feet to the fire.

Brent,

Thank you for being understanding.....Thanks for saying that you hope RCO pulls through for me, and that that would show what kind of business they are running....Thanks for the advice and support........

The tractor IS giving me good service......It has NEVER broke on me 'in the field'.......It is just running alittle on the warm side..........The tractor was delivered with 8.4 or 8.9 hours. I don't remember which one it was.......But NOW, it has a total of 20.8 hours...........Thats a pretty good bit, considering the short amount of time I had it......

I must say that I feel the same way here...

Travis, I completely understand the desire to like RCO and I think you are doing the right thing by letting them try to remedy the situation before disliking them or bad mouthing them..

With that being said, in my opinion, you bought a "reconditioned" tractor not a "used" tractor.. Thre is a difference.. Would you be more likely to buy a used 30yr old truck with 200k mi on the engine, or the same truck with a "reconditioned" engine(8.4hrs)? This is obviously just my opinion but I would have been leary from the start and wouldnt call the "little issues" you have mentioned having with this tractor so little as I would have expected it to be completely "reconditioned"(8.4hrs).. Its a marketing thing and not right in my opinion.. They surely run into the same issues other dealers do as far as something slipping through the cracks as far as quality goes and its their job to stick with it and make good as long as they know about it..#2 on the list above would have been a major issue for me on a "reconditioned tractor"..

You asked us for help on 8/25, we provided help and advise based on what we have been told.. We really dont know how you posed the situation to RCO, but it appaers that they are willing to help you remedy it.. I wish you luck with it..

RCO does deserve an oportunity to make things right, we really only have your side of the story here and dont know if maybe you are partly to blame or not.. It would be nice if RCO would frequent here more often to give opinons and help like the other dealers rather than to just defend itself.. This forum is a great tool for us average Joe's and helps to promote business' across the country.. At this point I couldnt possibly put LMTC and RCO in the same boat, mainly because I havent heard anything good about them other than them coming to assist you and Arthur after having problems.. Has anyone here bought from them and not had problems? Really, I dont want to slam them, because I dont know them or have any experience with them.. But thats the point, I have never heard any bad about LMTC, or the other dealers that frequent here for that matter..

RCO, as for anyone having a brand war with you or having it out for your bussiness, I dont see it that way.. Everyone here gets their fair chance, for whatever reason, you dont follow this forum and are obviously in damage control when you are here.. That is not because no one likes you, its because we hear of problems that havnt been addressed yet and the term "reconditioned" means alot to some of us.. My tractor was not reconditioned, I sort of expected to have minor issues and my dealer stepped up to the plate like we expect you are doing now(thats a good thing).. I do give you credit for being involved on a holiday afternoon and hope it wasnt just because of bad publicity.. Travis has obviously been emotional about this situation(and rightly so) and we have provided feedback for each phase of his troubles so we are also egar to hear how it plays out.. I hope that sometime we can see you frequent here more often and hear more good stories about your bussiness..
