Hey ya'll,
I said I would post if I had any problems with my YM2000. Well, here goes:
1......I found that the right side high beam head light don't work (there is a burnt spot in the bulb.)
2......As Stuart (RCO) told me, check all the nuts, bolts, fasteners, etc..........the exhaust AND manifold were loose.
3......The Main Question: IS IT RUNNING HOT????
Well Here it goes. If an item as small as #1 above was over looked in the recon. process What major item was over looked durning the recon. process ?? I don't consider over looked item # 2 as a small overlooked item. This is something(in my opinion) a dealer would do b-4 it left the shop .I didn't have to check the nuts & bolts on my tractor when I got it .
I must say that I feel the same way here...
Travis, I completely understand the desire to like RCO and I think you are doing the right thing by letting them try to remedy the situation before disliking them or bad mouthing them..
With that being said, in my opinion, you bought a "reconditioned" tractor not a "used" tractor.. Thre is a difference.. Would you be more likely to buy a used 30yr old truck with 200k mi on the engine, or the same truck with a "reconditioned" engine(8.4hrs)? This is obviously just my opinion but I would have been leary from the start and wouldnt call the "little issues" you have mentioned having with this tractor so little as I would have expected it to be completely "reconditioned"(8.4hrs).. Its a marketing thing and not right in my opinion.. They surely run into the same issues other dealers do as far as something slipping through the cracks as far as quality goes and its their job to stick with it and make good as long as they know about it..#2 on the list above would have been a major issue for me on a "reconditioned tractor"..
You asked us for help on 8/25, we provided help and advise based on what we have been told.. We really dont know how you posed the situation to RCO, but it appaers that they are willing to help you remedy it.. I wish you luck with it..
RCO does deserve an oportunity to make things right, we really only have your side of the story here and dont know if maybe you are partly to blame or not.. It would be nice if RCO would frequent here more often to give opinons and help like the other dealers rather than to just defend itself.. This forum is a great tool for us average Joe's and helps to promote business' across the country.. At this point I couldnt possibly put LMTC and RCO in the same boat, mainly because I havent heard anything good about them other than them coming to assist you and Arthur after having problems.. Has anyone here bought from them and not had problems? Really, I dont want to slam them, because I dont know them or have any experience with them.. But thats the point, I have never heard any bad about LMTC, or the other dealers that frequent here for that matter..
RCO, as for anyone having a brand war with you or having it out for your bussiness, I dont see it that way.. Everyone here gets their fair chance, for whatever reason, you dont follow this forum and are obviously in damage control when you are here.. That is not because no one likes you, its because we hear of problems that havnt been addressed yet and the term "reconditioned" means alot to some of us.. My tractor was not reconditioned, I sort of expected to have minor issues and my dealer stepped up to the plate like we expect you are doing now(thats a good thing).. I do give you credit for being involved on a holiday afternoon and hope it wasnt just because of bad publicity.. Travis has obviously been emotional about this situation(and rightly so) and we have provided feedback for each phase of his troubles so we are also egar to hear how it plays out.. I hope that sometime we can see you frequent here more often and hear more good stories about your bussiness..
