I have a GR2100 and having problem with pto.
Like to know what is my problem,. when blowing snow, my PTO seems to loose power in heavy snow.Have to slow down and let it race back up again.
It did same thing when mowing lawn in deeper grass.
Thankk you.

Either you are having a fuel issue( need new fuel filter?)or the load is exceeding the hp output of your tractor. Is it blowing a lot of black smoke as it bogs down?

Changed both of my fuel filter.
and hydrolique filter.

The motor do not slow down, only the PTO.
and it was not like that at beguinning, use to blow snow 20 feet, not, it is only a few feet :( and if I want to go faster, it almost stop blowing, have to slow down to gain pto speed.

Changed both the fuel filter.
and hydraulic filter on the tractor.

The motor does not lug down, only the PTO rpms drop.
It used to blow snow 20 feet when new, now it blows snow only a few feet :( and if I drive faster, it almost stops blowing. Have to slow down to gain pto speed.

After looking at the specs on tractor data it turns out that this is a garden tractor with a front mount blower and not a utility tractor with a Cat 0 or cat I three point hitch and a 540rpm pto and mounted snowblower.

Don't keep burning the guts out of it by slipping the pto clutch or the drive belt if so equipped. Is there a belt in there somewhere transferring power to the blower?
This is when you take your tractor to the Kubota dealer repairs before it becomes even more expensive.

The GR2100 has a wet clutch pack for the PTO if it is an early GR2100 without the repair kit or upgraded transmission, there will be other issues that will be coming up with bushings and other things that will fail. Do not push it hard. If it is working, you may want to unloaded it before failure as repairs are costly. Do a search plenty of GR2100 threads in the Kubota lawn forum.

The only way the PTO runs slower yet the engine rpm does not slow down is slippage. As another guy said -- is there a belt in the chain ? (I think not because it involves BOTH your mower deck and your blower.) Therefore, you have a pto clutch slipping under load. If you wish to keep it, as buick&deere said, -- get it to the dealer and get a price for repairs before it becomes unusable. It won't be cheap and you'll be faced with a sell and replace versus a repair. Pick the right dealer and you might luck out with him accepting it on trade-in or some such. Good luck.
