David, My icons are below the quote and message block. I count 15 icons, but no icon with ABC, and a check mark.

I hit the quote and get the screen that is attached... I circled the spell check in blue. Do you get a different screen when you hit the quote button?

A friend of mine took his Kubota to the dealer for overheating. They could not find the cause and said there was no problem. After a lot of head scratching he checked the oil. It had been overfilled. He drained the oil to the correct level and the problem was cured.

I finally found the spell checker by clicking on

Standard editor

There are three options,Basic editor, Standard editor, and Advanced options.

After all this I had to download ieSpell but I do have all the icons , some on the right and on bottom . The spell checker now works.

A good free plug-in spell checker is at http://www.iespell.com/

I've used it for years with no problems (it is for IE only, I think).

Well, the starter is dead on it now, after 250 hours. So the heating problem will have to wait.

Terry did say they make an agricultural cooling kit for it, I think it goes in place of the little oil cooler on the engine.


I think the hydro suystem needs an outside air intake, better airflow, and th eengine needs the muffler moved outside, away from the engine, and a bigger cooler.

We can stop and clean out the cooler, BUT
If I or anyone else bought a new car or truck, drove it for two hours and it overheated...called and the dealer said oh, u gotta spray out the cooling fins; I don't think it would fly.

So it shouldn't fly on a 35K dollar piece of equipment.

Altavista, I have to agree with you here. This is a well known and well documented problem. And it's unacceptable for a machine designed to mow. Just today, I had to clean my cooler before I could mow. I only have a small air compressor and it started to smoke before I finished. With my "Charlie-like" set up, I do get about 8 hours between cleanings though.
