Purchased 2305

I have one other question. In comparing the 2210 specs to the 2305 I noticed that the Maximum axle weights are considerably different. The 2210 has 3,120 lbs on each axle from the info in the JD Online Manual. The 2305 shows 1,654 lbs on the rear axle and 1,477 lbs on the front. Since the entire tractor weighs 1450 lbs I am assuming that this doesn't really matter, but I thought the basic parts of the 2 tractors were the same.

Excuse me, I had the specs on the 2305 backwards. It is actually 1,654 lbs on the front axle and 1,477 max on the rear axle.

Sorry

I have been waiting for my Woods BH6000 to arrive. I had the tractor delivered last week because I was way behind on mowing. The hoe arrived at my dealer Thursday. I asked my salesman if I could save some money by installing it myself. He agreed to $250 off the price. They delivered it to me today. I pulled the tractor in and took the wheels off. Started removing a few bolts following the directions. I found the front brackets don't fit where they attach to the 200 CX loader brackets. I called the dealer and he said Woods told them it takes the same bracket kit as the 2210. I called Woods direct and they told me it takes a different bracket kit which isn't even made yet. They told me the 2210 kit will not work and I may be looking at 12 weeks before the kit is ready. I have a bunch of projects to do and now will have to hire a couple of them out. I'm very disappointed to say the least.

I'm still waiting to hear back from my dealer. They haven't even called to tell me the brackets aren't available yet.

If they would have told me this up front, I would have purchased a Kubota BX23

rvtech,

The information you got from the dealer is not surprising, i.e., telling you everything is OK as opposed to checking it out completely and making sure of the facts. This is precisely why I'm asking you (and I do hope you get that guy on and enjoy it), how difficult it truly is to mount/attach the backhoe and does the brackets underneath say on with the mower deck installed? I have asked this same question to 4-dealers and the answer is all over the board (yes, no, maybe, etc).

Does your handle suggest the line of work you are in (RV Technician)? My tractor won't be at the dealer until Oct. 20 and the FEL won't be there until Oct 27. I thought my 2 week wait was bad, but with your wait of 12 weeks for brackets to be fabricated, that is a bit long. I hope Woods gets right on that early for you. Apparently, there is more than cosmetic changes between the 2210 and the 2305. Does your 200CX FEL show "made in China" like I've seen stated in some remarks in this forum?

flwiii,
For what it's worth, I was checking out a 2520 with a 200CX on it, and six (all six?) cast parts said "Made in China."

The Frontier brand tiller that was attached for demonstration purposes to the JD4110 I looked at yesterday said made in Italy. What is an American company anymore?

It's really no secret that all of the Frontier equipment is made by other manufacturers. I do beleive that for the most part the equipment is good quality, and better than some of the inexpensive box store stuff. Therefore, the tiller you mention being from italy, is made by Maschio, a very good tiller. But, Frontier does not manufacture any equipment, they just are a
marketing group that has arrangements with many manufacturers to supply the Deere dealer network with stuff they would probably buy from other manufacturers anyways.

Very Cool. I am sorry to hear about all your problems with your JD 2305. I really do hope the local dealer comes through to save the day. John Deere should really cover any costs the dealer incurs in resolving the radiator issue in your other post. Hope he is not like my RV dealer. Great on sales, poor on service.

Again, I hope it all works out for you.
